Makes no sense for the Lakers. Lopez is a low post guy just like Howard. They'd be in the same situation they are now with Pau being 25 feet from the basket where he is useless.

They need to move Gasol before Pringles can de-value him any further.

Lopez has a pretty decent Mid range to go along with his low post moves. That can possibly free up some of the post to Gasol. Lakers would probably be better with Lopez at least in that system but not the long run.
