Yearly rant inside spoiler, skip if you are tired of it:

I will never understand the appeal of the dunk contest. I can't think of a more monotonous, boring endeavour than watching the likes of global NBA superstars like Terrence Ross & James White attempt silly, contrived dunks for two hours, while the NBA on TNT guys go full tard. I feel so out of place watching that, like i'm the lone white dude at Madea's Family Reunion, and they notice i'm not eating the sweet potato pie (Ernie Johnson is the guy who married into the family years ago, and married that fat cousin nobody ever thought would find a man, so they give him a pass and he doesn't count)

Agreed. All the crazy dunks have already been done so now it's all about ridiculous props

There are actually some good Dunkers in this year. And trust me, there's a lot more dunks we haven't seen. There's a YouTube video of some guys who are known for their dunking ability doing some crazy shit the mass population hasn't seen yet.

Yeah. Faried and last year's winner are probably the two worst in this competition (dunno about Bledsoe, but people have said he does some crazy shit in practice). This is shaping up to be the best dunk contest in years. Much better than the recent shitty ones (like that one that was in essence a goddamn Kia Commericial)

How is James White still associated with the NBA?

I feel like the NBA is paying the Knicks just to keep him on the roster for the dunk contest.

Damian Lillard and Kyrie Irving in the same backcourt?

I feel sorry for the opposing guards.....is Kyrie going to play in this?

At least there's no 7 footers in the dunk contest this year.

What's wrong with 7 footers in the dunk contest? The best dunk post-2006 was done by Dwight imo

(the replay does it more justice)

he's not really a big time dunker aside from the one he just posterized someone...
