I watch every Thunder game that comes on TV here. im not worried about what Skip Bayless says. The only time i ever see that man is when people post clips of him on the internet. I cant count the number of times he takes ill advised shots with open teammates. It's painful to watch many nights. Primetime already mentioned his usage rate(Westbrook leads the league at 31.1)and assist ratio(He ranks 62nd in the league) which prove the point that you think is a myth. Those stats take into account all NBA players. If we look at PGs alone Westbrook is 1st in usage and 50th in assist ratio.

When he is hitting that midrange jumper he is unstoppable though. I will give him props on that. He is a very talented player.

Damian Lillard has a comparable assist ratio but ranks 45th in the league in usage rate.


Your 10 seconds of research method would lead most to believe Chris Johnson had a great 1200 yard season last year.
Chris Johnson averaged 4.5 ypc last year. IF you just look at stats you assumed he was a steady and consistent runner. The fact is if you look at his individual carries they often looked like 1,1,1,-1, -2, 1,-2, 3, 1, 1, 85,1,3,-2,1,-2,1.

Okay, I clearly went at the wrong guy because you seem to know your business. The main thing i'm trying to say is that He passes plenty, and theres this perception out there that he kills his team, he's selfish, etc. He's one of the best players in the NBA and he's all of 24 years old. I'd take him over Rondo and his blatant stat padding any day of the week.

They drive me just as crazy. i like old school team basketball and chuckers annoy me. Kobe and Carmelo are SG and SF, two positions that traditionally do most of the scoring for teams. the Knicks have used Melo at the 4 with great success this year.


Westbrook is one of the most exciting players in the league when he's hot. I've just always preferred past first PGs.

I wouldn't consider Westbrook a PG though but I understand where you are coming from, I just get sick of these people who treat Westbrook like he's some bum who should just defer to KD.

Westbrook jacking up shots helps keep the defense honest, which in turn increases efficiency for Kevin Durant.

Utah is going to choke and miss the playoffs granted having the 8th seed in the West pretty much means you'll be sent packing within 4-5 games anyways.
