Whats with the hatred for General Greivis? I thought he was pretty good last night.

Here is the thang...Drew is better than any player they could have gotten this year, by far, even Noel. I am not so sure Drew is better than Noel + Player 6-10 in next years draft. I guess it depends on who it is. I would rather have Smart or Harrison long term, so I guess it depends if one of them is available after 5.

Either way...Noel wouldn't have been a good pick for Nawlins anyway.

Greivis can play, but he is slow and there were too many times he would literally dribble the shot clock down to 5 and take a terrible shot. Shit happened several times every game. His turnover numbers are damn near the same as Jrue. Jrue is a definite upgrade defensively(Which Monty is all about playing D; which why Aminu got the minutes he got). Greivis is gone probably will be given away to shed salary to make a run for a better SF that can put up some points. I was hoping to get Alex Len, but I am very happy with how this turned out. It all depends on what kind of magic Dell can make happen.

I love the Jrue deal for both teams tbqh. Philly is going into a full rebuild, and while Jrue is a good player, he would actually prevent them from tanking properly, and by the time the team got good again his contract would be expiring. Personally I think MCW is the best PG In the draft and Noel is one of if not the best prospect. They've got a solid back-court of MCW/Turner and Noel up front, plus they'll likely have a top-5 pick and a top-10 pick next year to add even more youth to their core.

For NOLA, they're trying to build a contender. You get one of the best 2-way PGs in the league and a guy that was an all-star last season. Now you're free to either let Vasquez go, or move him to another team for a small forward (I don't think Aminu is gonna cut it there long-term). Vasquez really gives me that Jose Calderon vibe, in that he racks up a lot of assists, but eats like the entire 24 second shot clock to do it. NOLA can't be doing that. With guys like Gordon and Davis there you want to be running early and often and trying to beat teams with your athleticism. Jrue is a PG that loves to push the pace, and I also see him being very effective with The Brow in pick and roll sets.

Too bad NOLA isn't a big market lol, cause that team might be hella appealing to a guy like LeBron or Melo otherwise.

        Jrue
        Gordon

        Anderson

That's way too much money for Neal. Teams always get burned signing the Spurs role players to big contracts. I remember when Roger Mason Jr. was all the rage after hitting a ton of threes with the Spurs, and then he fizzled out as soon as he left them.

Would not give Gary Neal more than like 2M a season.

Gary Neal has been pretty consistent since he came into the league, its not like this is the first year he's played for them or had some break out year after 2 years of playing horrible.

Best part is the youth. Just need a decent SF and this is a playoff team no doubt.

Really liking this Giannis pick more and more, he seems like a very capable shooter in whatever league he played in he was over 60% from 2pt range, over 70% FT, and over 30% 3pt range. Plus he's 18 so he could develop into something really nice. Honestly it feels like they just drafted Tobias Harris again.

And when he talks he reminds me of Anderson Silva so thats a plus.
