Alford couldn't handle the pressure at Iowa or New Mexico so good luck to him at UCLA then.

Honestly both parties had to settle for this. UCLA had no legit options left and New Mexico is a dead end program (sorry Hass)

Hardly dead end. Some of the best facilities in the country, die-hard fans, competitive conference, etc. lol at dead end..

Does Alford have to sit out a year?

Craig Neal would probably a good hire for New Mexico. Alford's success largely has come after he hired Neal as his associate head coach.

While I do appreciate the level of GOON, Alford brings to the table. He never signed the 10 year contract. He agreed to it. People need to settle down with the outrage.

Kirk would be a great hire.

And lol at UNM being "Dead End". You don't have many programs on D1 with what UNM brings to the table. Top 5 bball arena in all of basketball (NBA included).

Alford is reprehensible. I'm glad the LA media called him out on his Iowa mess. Probably a bad move for Alford, because the media spotlight will be much heavier in LA than it was in Iowa or New Mexico. I find it funny that two of Bob Knight's proteges have been the most criminal in recent history...Dave Bliss at Baylor and Alford at Iowa.
