What Broussard said in the clip posted really wasn't bad at all. He's just relaying what his religion says about homosexuality. Nothing wrong with that, he didn't come across aggressive, IMO.
Real question is why does ESPN put a microphone in front of him? They know exactly what he is going to say. I'd think that he told them what his opinions and beliefs on the subject matter are before they started the show.
He shouldn't be suspended or fired for those comments, IMO. Unless he said something worse than in that clip.Comment

Anyone who calls themselves a christian should share the same opinion. A person expresses their religious beliefs and will probably pay for it, come out as a homosexual and get praised for it.
He seems to be getting a lot of support from players from around the league.

Not aggresive at all, just came across as an idiot. I hope he's fired, and can't find a job anywhere in the media.Comment

If Jason Collins were doing the same thing as Tim Tebow, he'd have been running around grabbing asses and hitting on all the male reporters, refs, and players, etc. I'm pretty sure Collins hasn't worked his homosexuality into every sentence he's ever said on TV. It's not like he's "Collins-ing" after every shot he makes by pretending to suck a dick.[REDACTED]Comment

People have a right to believe in their religion and the guidelines/rules/laws/commandments of their religion. People have a right to voice these opinions, which you just did against religion.
The problem we have is HOW many voice there opinions and not stopping there. We want to push our opinions onto others and expect others to change their opinions to our own. We expect our voice to be heard while trying to stop other voices from being heard. This defines both the PC left and the christian right.
I can very religious, do great things with my life, helping others and be against the gay lifestyle. I can even voice that in a respectful manner. But I can also choose, when a vote comes up about gay marriage, to not vote. I can also be warm, welcoming, friendly and respectful to my gay neighbors. I can go to their wedding, wish them the best in life and be a good friend to them. Unfortunately, this is very rare in our society. We are a society of extremes on both ends.
Me personally, I don't believe in god, but I don't trash talk those that do. As a young man, in between Appts, I stayed with two Lesbian friends.
I know this is VSN, were outrageous is the norm. But you seem as closed as the christian right nut jobs.Comment

All depends on a persons point of view.
