76ers Interested In Melvin Hunt For Head Coaching Job
The Philadelphia 76ers are interested in speaking with Melvin Hunt about their head coaching vacancy.
Hunt was on George Karl's staff with the Denver Nuggets and is a candidate to become their head coach.
The 76ers have not yet asked permission to interview Hunt.
Hunt interviewed with Sam Hinkie for a position as associate head coach with the Houston Rockets three years ago.
Hunt was believed to be the top aide on Karl's staff. -

Multiple people on twitter are reporting he wants to play for the Memphis Grizzlies. If Hollins was still the coach i know it wouldnt happen since he's a chucker who is a defensive liability. We'll have to see what direction Memphis goes in this coaching search. Signing Ellis would put them back over the luxury tax threshold.Comment

Monta Ellis is god awful any team that signs him for more than 6 million a year is a joke of a franchise.Comment

Depth at PF/C and a veteran to help mentor griffin?
I only saw a couple clippers games this year outside of the playoffs but Blake didn't see the same to me this year as his rookie year. He appears to have hit a wall in development. Maybe KG can help him develop more and introduce new weapons to add to his repertoire.Comment

Maybe Chris Paul, or just the supporting cast in general, makes him look better? Honestly, the most interesting person to me in all of this is Doc Rivers. To me, the missing link for the Clippers has been quality coaching to match the quality talent. I'd also love to have Paul Pierce, which would be fun since he's from LA.
I'm not dying for this trade, but those are just my thoughts on why the Clippers would be interested in swapping Garnett for DJ. I love DJ but I don't love his contract and I don't love his limits. He's like a non-retarded JaVale McGee.[REDACTED]Comment

Garnett is a better fit next to Blake than DJ is, Garnett even at this age is a better defensive player than DJ or Blake, can space the floor and makes his freethrows. However I'm not so sure Doc would be a great fit, he has always been really tough on his Point Guards which makes for a bumpy relationship and CP3 is established as it gets they would prolly drive each other crazy.
I think this would be a steal f the Clips managed to get Doc, KG and Pierce because both of them will play 2 more years max while DJ's contract is horrendous. So you get 1-2 really good championship window and then shed a bunch of moneyComment
