Nets prepared to name Jason Kidd new Head Coach

The Nets are interviewing Brian Shaw on Wednesday for their head coaching spot, but it sure sounds like the team has put all of its attention on Kidd. The report states that no official offer has been made, but it may just be a matter of time until that happens. "The Russians are on board," one source told the Post.
This has been rumoured all week but I didnt think it would actually happen. As much as I loved Jason Kidd the player, this seems like it has disaster written all over it. I was never a fan of Mark Jackson being hired with no coaching experience, and im even less a fan of this move, especially from a team who claims they are ready to compete. I hope he proves me wrong. Poor Brian Shaw has been proving himself as an assistant for quite a few years now, while Kidd is going to leap him for this position with no experience at all.

If I'm Shaw I'm not bothered by this. I'd MUCH rather coach the Clippers than Nets.

Should just trade away entire team for some draft picks. And start a youth movement. These dudes aren't going to follow someone who played with them 3 months ago.

Someone that's game smart and knows the current game isn't a bad thing. Some people are writing him off way to quickly.

It's all about Deron Williams. If he's supportive of Kidd, it's worth a shot. It shoots some adrenaline into the fan base, too.

Like the move for the Nets, but it is a big risk.

Or he'll get pissy in a few months when Kidd tries to punish him for something and he'll bury yet another coach.

I think this is an awful move. Granted, it's better than just hiring one of the random retrends but I just don't see it working out. Maybe I'm wrong.
