This. Didn't the Knicks learn anything from the Pacer series???????????

Our front office is the biggest reason this franchise hasn't won jack shit in 40 years.

While I agree the Knicks need to get tougher along the front line I'd still rather have Bargs than Camby and Novak.

And on Twitter you have people from ESPN talking about how Bargs is such a great shooter. The Knicks have $67 million wrapped up in 2 power forwards.

More I thought about it, inclined to agree.....Camby contributed nothing, and once the rest of the league realized Novak couldn't dribble, he became useless which led to Woodson giving up on him.....Copeland emerging as a more reliable option didn't help Novak's cause either

Copeland may be > Bargs in the role they're going to want Bargnani to play. His 3 point shot has virtually disappeared over the last 2 seasons and hes tried and failed to round out the rest of his game. Purely a confidence player, and he lacks it. If he thought the Toronto media and fans were hard on him wait till he finds out how its like in New York.

I can only assume we're going to buy out Camby and/or Novak, because having those 2 contracts on the books for 3-4 years is no better than hanging onto Bargnani.

While true, I'd rather take a bet on Bargs talent than have Camby and Novak on the team.

I do think Bargs makes the Knicks better all though he has been pretty bad lately. I am not sure how much he will help, but Bargs has to have more value than what Novak and Camby provide. However, Bargs is expensive and really can't stay healthy. I am not sure what Bargs will provide that Copland didn't. With the moves the Nets have made coupled with the obvious fact that Miami, Indiana and Chicago are simply better team the Knicks are panicking. Knicks fans can only hope for 2015 FA when all of their huge contracts (Stoudemire, Bargs, Chandler, Anthony) come off the books.

I have no idea how you have Amare, Bargs, and Anthony on the same team. In any scenario, you have two guys making money and doing nothing.

In today's NBA, this is a big deal. First with Miami's big three, and the possibility of Dwight going to Houston to team with Harden. If you have one star in house, plus cap space to get one of their friends, that puts you in a better position than developing your own talent through the drafts, though if the Thunder and Pacers continue to do well, there will still be good current examples of building through the draft.

With big cities, I think it's better to go this route, with clearing cap space.

2015 will be headlined by Carmelo and Rudy Gay.
