Raymond Felton Arrested on Felony Gun Charges

Allegedly pointed a gun at his girlfriend during an argument yesterday. Girlfriend pressed charges, Felton found out during the game and turned himself in early Tuesday A.M. Very serious charges and NYC gun laws aint nothing to fuck with.

NEW YORK -- New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton was arrested early Tuesday morning on three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, according to a New York Police Department spokesman.

Knicks guard Raymond Felton faces three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Felton was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm, which are felonies, and fourth-degree possession of a firearm, which is a misdemeanor, the spokesman said. Further details on the weapons charges are not known at this point.

Felton is expected to appear in criminal court in Manhattan later Tuesday morning.

The Knicks' starting point guard was being questioned by New York City police early Tuesday morning, hours after the Knicks' loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the spokesman said. Felton turned himself in for questioning at the 20th precinct on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Felton, 29, signed a three-year, $10 million contract with the Knicks prior to the 2012-13 season.

He has struggled this season, and the Knicks offered him in several trade packages prior to the Feb. 20 trade deadline but could not complete a deal.

New York City has strict gun possession laws.

In 2009, New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was sentenced to two years in prison after accepting a plea deal on a firearm charge following an incident in which he suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his thigh when his gun accidentally went off in a Manhattan nightclub. He faced a minimum sentence of 3½ years if convicted at trial.

The woman (whether his wife or someone else) probably called him out for playing so shitty.

      Fuck off Felton.

Not that they had one before, but now they LEGITIMATELY don't have a point guard. That's okay, Woodson will just have Melo shoot the ball 40 times a game.

Point guards are supposed to pass first, not shoot.
