    New/old/retro,Basketball Kicks official thread

Hey LOL ,Just like in football with the design of helmets and uniforms, the uniqueness of the basketball sneaker is important.
Become famous in basketball and get a signature sneaker released with your name.

even though there weren't that many designs early on, shoe companies have realized since the 70s that it was important to endorse a sneaker with a player...and then came the Jordan's.

I'm sure you've seen the SLAM Kicks magazine issues in stores too.

I'm one of those guys that gets footlocker and other emails just to see whats new and coming out and re-released and today I saw a couple that just made me have to start this thread even if it dies 5 minutes from now.

I'm starting this thread with what even isn't a serious basketball shoe but it has to be seen ! LOL

but feel free to post anything new that you like or retro or personal favorites, forgotten ones or re-releases or what ever !

I saw this just a few minutes ago...and wow LOL its so gay but its so many other things ! its just... I don't know ?!~

it may be extreme but its still designed in the basketball shoe vein.

but this one I do like a lot, the Adidas Mutombo -click links for multiple viewpoints of shoes

By far my favorite Jordan's. Team Jordan 1's:

This was the only color scheme I liked though.

always wanted a pair but never did get it. In the way Nike usually always has their logo on the side of the shoe, I wish converse never left that but they tried to get creative and I hated it. I always like that star n chevron logo. Nike bought Converse in 2003 I think

I did get the early converse though

that's a -water is wet- remark. Everyone knows they were the norm in the 50s and 60s. I'm more interested in the renaissance period where shoe design started to expand from the late 80s to late 90s. Now a days its too much color and they look like moon boots with treads that get eaten on concrete too fast

AF1s are considered more of a casual shoe now, same with Chucks. You try balling in them all you want, lol.

of course not the ones that are actually made to ball in, they do still exist along with the casual ones. I hate that they make weak casual versions

Did I rock these back in the day?

                            They've since been re-released.

I would never ball in them, but they are technically basketball shoes and I where them casually.
