    Deal....No Deal

This whole FA period is kind of weird. We all know Wade isn't going anywhere so why hasn't he publicly agreed to a deal yet? There isn't even news of him taking a FA visit any where. Houston finally reached out to Bosh and made an offer, which I expected.

I think the Houston offer is just what Riley & company were waiting for. Bosh moves on and then the Heat have the cap room to give Lebron the max and Wade near max with tons of cast to spend on other FAs. They can spin it as Bosh received an offer they couldn't match so they don't look like jerks for cutting him loose.

The reason no superstar has signed yet is because everyone is waiting to see what LeBron does before they decide what they want to do. After he signs all of the other dominoes will fall pretty quickly. As far as Wade is concerned, if LeBron stays in Miami, he would most likely take a huge pay cut down to around 12 mil a year. But if LeBron were to leave, then there is no reason for him not to just take the max at 20.7 mil since there is no way the Heat win without LeBron next year.

For Bosh, you might be right about Riley just shrugging and saying they got outbid. Unless Bosh really wants to try to win more rings with two of his best friends, he might be as good as gone. The Heat just signed Josh McRoberts for 4 years and 22 mil (which takes up most of their remaining cap space if the Big 3 were to return), which worries me that even the Heat think he's gone.

Why would they let Bosh go rather than Wade? Keep an aging star around overpaid and end up like the Lakers...

I feel like those other two parts of the "big 3" are wildly overrated at this point. Bosh says he doesnt want to play in the post anymore and jacks up 3s all game, which would be okay if he wasn't a PF/C. He plays like a 6'11" SG. Tiago and Kawhi absolutely destroyed the Heat because none of their bigs could defend. and Wade? How on earth is Wade still a MAX player? he's only worth around 12 million and his value is going to continue to rapidly diminish.

I have to think LeBron is secretly thinking he would be better off if the Big 3 broke themselves up for him so he doesn't have to look like the bad guy again. He's not solving his problems with that Roster with his two buddies taking up the rest of the cap space.

Wade was drafted by the franchise and was a big part of the pre-Lebron championship. Riley can't let him get away if he wants other guys to come. Wade has to retire a member of the Heat.

The time is right for Bosh to move on. He got his money and rings the last few years and now he has a chance to prove he's not a sidekick to Wade and Lebron. If he were to help get a team like Houston to the finals his legacy looks a lot different.

He might never be accepted back by the true fans.

I really don't like that they act like LeBron ever played there. I've been to the Q and there is nothing LeBron hanging up around the arena. All mark price stuff and big z.

Wade is a Heat lifer. Would Miami take Bosh over Wade straight up, with all other variables the out the door? Probably. But that doesn't mean they will, and they won't. At least one of the Big 3 is staying in Miami and it's Wade.

If you think Wade and Bosh are overrated parts of those Heat championship teams, you're crazy. And again with Wade, is he worth a max deal at this point? Probably not, but if Bosh and LeBron are both gone and Wade says he wants a max deal, the Heat don't say no.

If I'm LeBron, I'm ditching the Miami nursing home and going back to Cleveland all day. The opportunity to be successful for the entirety of a contract he'd sign there with the likes of Irving, Wiggins, Thompson, etc. has to be a hell of a lot more appealing than staying in Miami with the corpse of Wade and a 30-year-old Chris Bosh. They were completely outclassed by San Antonio in the finals and are only going to be another year older going forward. I just don't see the appeal if I'm Lebron. It's not a long term winning situation to stay in Miami with the current roster.

Nah, I wasn't saying that, but I do feel that moving FORWARD they are overrated pieces. I think Bosh can be fixed, and there are definitely many games I watched last year where the Heat would have been totally screwed without him taking the game over, but if he just wants to be a shooter then there are better situations than Miami for him (he would KILL it in Houston next to Howard) .Wade is a 10-12 million dollar player at this point though. I guess I'm going Klinnsman on Kobe about Wade

I don't believe the hype we are hearing about LBJ to Cleveland. I think at this point its the media trying to manufacture content.

Since the Cavs are all in on James i would tend to believe there is a REAL REAL good chance he comes back to the Cavs. Guess last night he narrowed choices to Cavs and Heat. If Melo goes to Lakes and Bosh heads to Rockets the East just got even easier. Can walk to the NBA finals with kyrie and Wiggins. throw in a few young guys the team on paper can have a good 5 year run no problem.

Cavs just dumped a ton of salary. Trading Sergei Karasev, Jarrett Jack, and Tyler Zeller in a 3 team deal with Brooklyn and Boston.

Would indicate that "they know something"... Which means they may be getting fooled again.
