Report Disproven: Wade & Bosh DID NOT Agree to Long Term Deals With Miami

    John Canzano broke the news.

Dwayne Wade has agreed to a four-year deal with the Heat. He'll earn $12M next season (nearly a $10M cut from his prior deal).

Chris Bosh has agreed to a five-year deal with Miami starting with $11M next season.

BUT, nothing else has been reported by anyone and it appears Bosh is still being courted by Houston. Wade doesn't seem to be interested in as dramatic a pay cut.

Meanwhile, LBJ is likely to ink a max contract with Miami but for 1-2 years.

I'm still at a loss as to how Wade makes money like that. He USED to be great...

No way in hell I would go from making $20M+ to $11M while someone else makes the max. If I was Bosh I would leave for the money. He's probably scared the team will win without him.

I think its safe to say that neither one "earned their money" this past year.

I'm just shocked that the Heat thinks they can beat the Spurs or Thunder next season with Wade, Bosh and LeBron. Realizing that Wade is past his prime but there is no way I would turn down an extra $5-$6M next season just to get punked by the west IF they can can even make it back to the finals. He should have cashed in at this point in his career since he has already cemented his legacy with multiple championships.

They're putting a lot of faith in Riley to bring in an impact player, but IMO that guy isn't out there. I would like to know James' reasons for wanting the max now....it is also interesting he only wants a 2 year deal.

Luol Deng has said he WILL not take a discount to post play in Miami.

They've been to the last 4 finals with that group, I don't see why it's so crazy to think they can do it again. I'm sure every NBA organization would be ok with returning a group that made it to the finals the last 4 times, nobody was beating that Spurs team last year. It wasn't crazy that they destroyed the Heat, it was crazy that Dallas took them to 7 games looking back at the playoffs.

I hear what you are saying but you build a team to win the finals not just make it to the finals. The only way they even make the finals with that group is because they are in the East. If they were in the West, they might not get out of the 2nd round next year...especially with age starting to catch up to them. I wasn't that shocked that the Mavericks took the Spurs to 7 (I thought it would be a 6 game series) since that is a huge rivalry and the Mavs looked strong at times last season.

Basically just because it was pretty much the Lebron show. Wade can't stay on the court and didn't have any legs the entire season/playoffs. They could have done the sake this year with younger "less known" guys around James. Paying 2014 money and asking for 2012 results isn't necessarily a good move.

He's (JC) been quite since their agent bunked that rumor. I would think if they want to stay in Miami, they have to take a pay cut but that low would be surprising.

I tend to believe it is somewhat accurate. LeBron has to get a raise to come back and Miami doesn't have a lot of cap room and that money has to come from somebody that makes enough to give back a chunk.

If it was anyone else but Canzano I might believe it but he's a tool.
