can't give me a real answer without being a wise ass?
"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.

Well, in my opinion Dwyane Wade is a better overall player, or at least he does more different things. One of the things Wade does that Kobe doesn't do is blocking shots and Wade also gets more steals, assists and points per game. He's also more important to his team than Kobe is in my opinion and he's very consistent.

Of course the Lakers have a much better record than the Heat, but you can expect that, looking at the lineups.

Wade is more of the popularity pick imo. He's the hot new thing (even though he's been there before). Kobe is consistently what he's been every single year, but D-Wade has lifted his game on both ends of the court. Even with that though, I wouldn't put D-Wade over Kobe this season (stated my reason why on the first page).

Brandon Roy is making a lot of lists, that's good to see. He's definitely a young star.

I agree with Clutch about K-Mart V2, but he has played some games on a playoff team. He's played meaningful games before, but I don't think he's capable of leading a team. He'd be better suited on a team run by Jason Kidd or Andre Miller where he can be the main scorer, but not the leader.

Nahste, in the first post I said I was considering Kevin Durant a small forward. KD does play SG some, but he also plays some SF and some PF. His versatility is really that of a SF.

Kobe can play D.. pretty damn good D also..

            you crazy.
Well, he does block some shots, 1 in 2 games, while Wade blocks almost 3 blocks in the same amount of time.

I know he can play D, but I do think he's a bit overrated when it comes to that. He's not that much better than Wade on D, not as much as people think.

            Yeah, I am, so what?

Wade hasn't proven he's better than Kobe yet in his career. Kobe has 10+ years of NBA service, the majority of that as the best player in the league. He's the best offensive player in the game today, and maybe the second best of all time. There's nothing Kobe can't do on offense, that any other player in the league can do. He can dominate off the dribble, from behind the arc, in the post. He's perhaps the best finisher in the game today and he's one of the most clutch. When Kobe is on the floor, the Lakers always have a chance to win no matter what the score is.

On defense, Kobe is a lock down defender. He's made countless all-defensive teams since being in the NBA. I've seen Kobe shut down many star players. The difference with Kobe and Wade is that Wade gets the glory points on defense that Kobe doesn't really get. To me, it's the same thing as when people call Josh Smith a better defender than guys like Tayshaun Prince and Shane Battier. Smith isn't a better defender, he just gets the highlight plays on defense. Josh Smith isn't a guy you send out to shut down the other team's best player, guys like Battier and Prince are. That's how I see Wade. While he is capable of shutting down players, he's more of a highlight reel defensive player. Kobe is more like the shutdown defensive kind of player.

I'll give Wade his props because he's raised his game to new heights and is once again a top 3 player in the league, but to me, he isn't on Kobe's level just yet and it's an insult to call him the best player in the game when Kobe is still playing.

Just so you know, I hate the Lackers and I hate Kobe. But I'm just telling it as I see it.

Kobe every single time.. no matter what.
lol yeah I was watching that. Kobe has the ability to do that though and he does it consistently. I've seen Kobe do it live like 4 times already and that's just from me going to Grizzlies games.

Wade and LeBron have the ability to do the same thing, but they aren't as consistent at it as Kobe. They also usually need to drive to the hoop to do it, while Kobe can light it up from anywhere on the court to drag his team back into it.

If I had to say which player I liked more, it would easily be D-Wade (followed him since Marquette with Diener) or Lebron. However, Kobe is easily the better player.

When I say easily, it's kinda like a car race. While the times may be a slim margin, those milliseconds are still incredibly meaningful.

Aight, I understand what you're saying. I also don't think Wade's a better player than Kobe at all, I'm just looking at this season and imo Wade has a better season than Kobe. That's also one of the reasons I don't really like arguments like this:

That ain't really an argument... err I don't know maybe I'm too high to understand it.
