The kid was 13 years old and being highly influenced by a 17-year old. All you can hope for is that this kid learned his lesson. The victim did endorse him though during the recruiting process according to the article.

Here's one thing I've learned though about people in Tennessee. My wife is from Tennessee and family members are quick to turn on another family member. I would not be surprised if the relative's of Daniel Hood coerced the victim into endorsing Daniel Hood. People in Tennessee are quick to follow the money and if Hood is good enough to bring the money, they'll be quick to forget the whole incident as long as Hood rakes in the dough later.

I've lived in New York, Maine, Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee and I can tell you it's the same thing everywhere. You actually think people are genetically predisposed to back stab family members because they were born in a certain part of America?

And you guys are talking East Tennessee and Middle Tennessee. I live in Memphis, the murder capital of the mid-west, and I've met some of the best people here.
