Like I said, I agree (see my greatest point guards list for further proof of that fact). But 2 MVPs is more easily quantifiable helping to give Nash the higher score.
For me, the biggest reason is that in a very long career, it was a very short window where he was considered among the best centers in the league. He also hasn't won a championship. And yes, he didn't score nearly enough. The same reason Rodman still isn't in (well, one of the reasons for Rodman) and Ben Wallace may not get in, either. At least they've both won titles. If you're not going to score points then you've either got to have some championship rings on your fingers or some mind blowing stats in the other areas. Like I said though, I can go either way on this one.
As for Mutombo what kind of argument is there for him not getting in? Lack of offensive production?
