Knicks Promise To Pick Curry At 8?

NBADraft.net cites sources who corroborate that unless the Knicks move up to one of the top three slots, they will pick Davidson's Stephen Curry with the 8th pick.

Reportedly Curry chose to enter this draft based on the Knicks' assurances.

I don't think Stephen is gonna go this high, but hey, it's the Knicks.

Knicks are like the Raiders of the NBA.

LOL at the Knicks. They are drafting at best a great 6th man.

I guess when LeBron went to watch one of Curry's games that makes them friends?

According to an article in Dime magazine, the two text each other on a regualar basis.

I'm a Knicks fan, I wouldn't mind them getting Curry but at #8 might be a bit too high.

On the other hand, I don't want soft ass Thabeet, either. He's NOT a poor man's Ewing. Sorry, haven't been impressed by what he's shown me.

LOL at Thabeet being a poor mans Ewing! Ewing was one of the best jump shooting centers in the history of the NBA, not to mention a great defender and rebounder. Thabeet so far offensivley hasn't show the ability to shoot outside of the lane.

Once he gets his experience Curry more than likely will be better than Chris Duhon who is the current PG. Overall though this is a really weak draft class, so Curry at #8 really isn't that much of a reach. I highly doubt Thabeet will be an option at #8.

LeBron is NOT leaving Cleveland. Just get that out of your heads.

The Knicks are not the Raiders of the NFL. No, that occupation belongs to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Stupid to make a promise to a player. If someone else falls at 8 who is better you just make yourself look bad.

See when the Hawks promised Shellhead Williams we'd take him at 5, only to have Brandon Roy fall to our laps......and well, you know the rest.

I would love watching Curry in Dantoni's system. If the Pacers can't get him, it wouldn't be so bad watching him play in NY.

LeBron WILL be in a knicks jersey dont u worry, and winning a title will only make it easier for him to go and become the richest most popular athlete ever. If he wins a title in the next two seasons he will feel like he did something for cleavland and he is not really leaving them high and dry as he brought them a title.

Lebron will be a knick, dont you worry
