If you were the Grizz GM who do you take at 2?

Blake is obviously the number 1 pick so if you were Memphis who do you take at 2? Hakim Warrick is the only free agent and hes restricted.

They have a top 5 pick PG and SG(Conley, Mayo) already on the team from the past two years.

Jordan Hill, Hasheem Thabeet, Tyreke Evans, Ricky Rubio, Stephen Curry, James Harden?

    Ricard "Ricky" Rubio Vives
"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.

I tend to agree, ive never been sold on Conley as a top 5 talent. I didnt think Charlotte would take Augustin so high after drafting Felton either though. Its a what have you done for me lately league.

It's a tough one for me. I'd have to go with Hill or Thabeet though. They NEED help rebounding and scoring downlow. I think it's a no brainer to take one of those 2.

Like I said in the other thread, I think they should draft for need and take Hill. I can see him fitting in well with the rest of the lineup.

im no Thabeet fan but i think he could have a Ben Wallace type career or defensive and rebounding dominance, he could fit in nicely with the scoring Memphis gets from 1-3

I'd say Rubio for sheer talent. Thabeet for what they actually need.

You all do know that Rubio injured his hip badly this week right

                      1984 Record: 44-38 (9th in west)
                      1985 Record: 42-40 (7th in west; 1st round exit)
1986 Record: 51-31 (3rd in west; swept in finals)

The Grizzlies theme this season should be : "This Season, We're Doing It For The Lulz"

Evans would be too early at 2. hes def top 10 material but the Grizzlies would take Harden before they took Evans.

Thabeet would likely come off the bench if he was picked by the Grizzlies. Marc Gasol is not nearly as mobile as his brother and can't really start at the four. But I definitely won't be surprised if Thabeet is picked anyways.

If you're looking for low post scoring I wouldn't take Hill or Thabeet. If it just rebounding than you have to consider it. However, I'm not to impressed with Jordan Hill as an NBA player. I can see him being a servicable big man, but nothing special. I'm always leary of big man who don't dominate college basketball who get drafted high simply because they're long and athletic.
