Okay, that would be high school ball but nice try.

I can understand choosing the Mike because of his importance in stopping the run, but to choose them because they relay the calls is just stupid, IMO, which is my point.

the battle is won in the trenches, although if you give me a big 6'7", 350 lbs, DT that can move, i would take 4th graders on the o line.
Guard is hardly the most important position.

I can't figure out why so many people are picking C and HB.

Centres/centers are the least important offensive line position, unless you have a rookie QB who knows nothing.

As for HB, the NFL is a passing league now.

HB aren't important if you have a good/great offensive line. The Giants are the best example of that, they can take any running back in the league and he would put good numbers due to how great they are up front. The same could be said for the Vikings.

Well no shit. There isn't one position on any team that you must absolutely have an all pro on in order to win a superbowl. You can say that for every position.

umm... i dont know how they play it in candian football, but here in america the center makes the blocking calls for the o-line.

how is ben sloppy? having a so-so o-line and doing all you can to keep from getting sacked and still making plays is not sloppy. while it is true you don't have to have an exepctional player at qb, maybe trent dilfer would havebetter served your purpose for an analogy.

                                Some weirdo ass picks here.

Safety/Guard/MLB/ dont belong in the discussion.

Great players at ANY position will suddenly become important and change the dynamics of any team or game. But you dont build around those positions first.

Take a long hard look at how NFL teams draft , pick up via FA and gameplan. Especially the last few expansion teams.

                                1.QB
                                2. LT---even for a lefty
                                3. Pass Rusher ((DE/OLB system dependent))
                                4. CB
                                5.HB

HB touches the ball more than anyone outside of the QB. They dictate half the offense . The other half they are at the very least the safety valve on passes or the last line of defense for the QB. Often they are secondary or even primary targets in the passing game. Just because its a passing league or teams like splitting duty doesnt downplay the significance.

                                QB/LT/HB
                                CB/DE
Having lackluster play at any of those positions will hurt you faster than any other. Having a great player at those positions will improve your team faster than any other. If you have a hole or void at any of these positions they will almost always take priority over any other.
Best reason to have a license.
