it was figured out last year.

Ronnie Brown had 37 rushing yards against the Patriots in their 2nd meeting to lead the Dolphins in rushing.

He had 19 against the Ravens in the playoffs to lead the Fins in rushing.

it's a gimmick offense and is easily stoppable so long as the defense plays their assignments. reason it worked last season is because defenses weren't prepared for it. this year they will be prepared for it and everyone will be accounted for.

and i don't care what "new wrinkles" you guys think the fins have added, if you actually think coaches like belichick and rex ryan aren't drawing up possible plays out of the wildcat formations that the fins are likely to run then you are dumber than a rock.

Yeah, just like that your problem is solved. Draft two guys and your problem is solved! It's not that easy.
The wildcat is a formation not a gimmick. The Wildcat beat one team last season and that was the Patriots in Week 3. Other then that we lined up and beat teams with our traditional offense.

And lastly. With Pat White at quarterback the Wildcat wont "easily be stopped if defenses play their assignments". The kid has speed. If you sit back and defend the pass he'll run all over you. If you bring 8 in the box he's going to kill you with his arm. Pat White adds so much more to the offense. Hense.... the most exciting team in the NFL.
Then why are Dolphins fans ejaculating about the "wildpat" and acting like it is the greatest thing to ever happen in football? It's not that effective, the Dolphins do not have a very exciting offense, yet time and time again you and other Fin fans keep talking about how you're going to have the most exciting offense in football or how Pat White is going to be unstoppable.

Pat White is not going to run all over NFL defenses. He will get lit up if he tries to make a habit of scrambling and running in the NFL. And he is not as fast as some of you seem to think. He is smaller and slower than Vince Young and Michael Vick and those guys even had trouble running against NFL defenses. I'm tired of saying this so I'll just wait for the season to start and let you figure this out. I will be here to say "I told you so" when it happens.
Sit back and see how a real teams built. While you continue to root for your Raiders I'll sit back and watch some of the best minds in football take a 1-15 from two seasons ago to the NFL Penthouse in two or three more years.
What's funny is that I've seen my team play in a Super Bowl. Have you ever seen yours? Whether my team wins 11 games and loses in the first round of the playoffs or wins 5 games doesn't matter to me because the outcome is the same - no super bowl so the season means nothing.

Dolphins aren't going anywhere any time soon. When the season is over your team will be watching the playoffs from their couches just like my team will be. Stop kidding yourself, homer.

Whatever man, whatever makes you feel good about yourself.

I'm telling you realistic opinions and thoughts about your football team. You on the other hand are just insulting mine over and over again. Seems like it makes you feel good about yourself and your team to insult mine. Nothing you say about my team insults or offends me, you don't really have to say anything to insult the Raiders, they do a good job of doing that on their own.

Miami won 11 games last year. I, like you, think they will probably finish with 8 wins this season. How is that a step in the right direction again? If my calculations are correct, 8 is 3 less than 11. So by losing 3 more games this year, they are headed in the right direction? With that logic, the Raiders will really make some strides this year if they win 2 games.

But I actually do think Miami is rebuilding and doing alright, I just don't think they are anything to talk about nor do I think they are going to have the most exciting offense in the NFL. They will have a very boring and conservative offense. And Pat White isn't going to do anything. If he proves me wrong I'll sport a Pat White avatar for the entire football season.

I wonder what you would be saying if the Raiders had drafted Pat White. I bet you'd be bashing them for it.

Gibril Wilson and Eric Green won't solve the problems to your pass defense. Green isn't that good and Wilson is only good as that eighth man in the box. Then with rookies they won't be stars right away so it'll take time for them to develop.

Also even with Pat White the Dolphins offense isn't going to be the most exciting. The Wildcat will be run only like 10 plays a game and outside of the Patriots game week 3 it wasn't that exciting anyways. Although the Dolphins announcers seemed to wet their pants every time the Dolphins scored a touchdown in it.

Yeah, cause I forgot just because the two guys before you failed automatically means you are going to "fail miserably" also. Get real. He's coaching in New York, I know you Miami fans don't know too much about football but Herm Edwards had a big mouth and he was loved by most up here. Mangini a fairly quiet guy, not so much love. The Dolphins fans were no where to found 2 years ago when they were 1-15, a little winning and they think they are the next SB Champs.

I am done with this discussion but want to say one last thing on this subject.

Pat White is a poor man's Michael Vick.

He will be nothing. He will not be a dual threat Quarterback because he will not be able to read defenses in the NFL. He's never ran a pro style offense and he does not have the ability to break down NFL defenses. He could be somewhat of threat with his legs, but teams will be ready for him and will focus on keeping contain and playing their assignments. Not only does he lack the knowledge and ability to play the QB position in the NFL, but he lacks size. He has nothing going for him besides his 40 time, and even that was not spectacular when compared to NFL speed.

Pat White as a dual threat in the NFL is the best joke I've heard this off-season. I would root for him if Dolphins fans weren't so god damn ridiculous acting like he's the next Randal Cunningham or something. I can't wait for him to do absolutely nothing just so Dolphin fans will shut the fuck up about him and the "wildpat" offense.

Chad Henne could be good, I'm not going to say he's doomed when he hasn't even played yet. But I'm not going to say he's going to be awesome like you are, either.

Anyways, I think we've worn this debate out. Let's just revisit this topic once these two guys actually play a down of professional football.

I must have missed that game in college where it appeared Pat White could throw a football. Whenever I saw WVU play (which wasn't very often), they lost. White looked completely incapable of making consecutive nice passes.

Well this thread went to shit. This thread is stupid because everyone (besides dumbass Miami fans apparently) knows the AFC East blows except for New England. Barely winning the division when a top 5 quarterback all time is lost for the season gives you zero room to talk shit.

The Dolphins suck and so do the Jets.

                        The bowl game.

Stewart worked hard all year to develop White as a passer, and it led to some low points like the losses to Colorado, but it paid off in the bowl game and if he hadn't White would not have been picked in the 2nd round.
