I'm pretty sure he didn't know that Orlovsky was in Houston now.

            So...fail.

              First Orlovsky, now Grossmen?

              :jimshake:

Please leave them on the bench if we expect to win a game this season.

Hey Rex has two more playoff wins than Tony Romo....Hot and cold yes, perfect backup yes, better than Orlovsky yes, good deal financially yes. Good job by Houston.

Good pickup for houston, more solid backup than Dan, and with Schubs injury history he should see a little playing time, maybe enough for him to ink a longer deal as a backup in houston or elsewhere.

I dont buy the hype that rex grossman was the main reason for the bears losing games while he did overplay in some game he never had a go to receiver or a guy to hand it off to now he has both

now he is on a team with andre johnson if/should shuab gets injured i think rex will be able to maybe help the texans win some games in shuabs absence

I can see Grossman playing in a lot of games, and winning some for Houston.

He wasn't the main reason no, but he sure as hell didn't help. Having bad WR doesn't make u fumble snaps, and he had a top 10 rushing attack the year we went to the superbowl, he still was bad. He turns the ball over which if he wants to remain in this lg he's going to have to stop. Fumbling snaps and throwing interceptions into quadruple coverage are not an option for him if he gets a chance this season, cuz u can bet if he doesn't do well when he gets a chance in houston this year no one else will bother with him

No youre wrong. Bernard was with the Bears since 03 right, he had one good year, a year that many could argue Rex helped him achieve.

They year the Bears lost to Carolina, the best Bears Defense i have ever seen, they got shitted on by Steve Smith, yet they were in that game well into the 4th because the offense delivered in a average way that was waaay more than anyone expected. Also the year they went to the SB. He helped win games the second half of that season more than the defense did. The playoffs, he was great. The SB he wasnt, then again the D gave up 600 yards that game so who was?

His biggest problem is consistency. Im curious to see what he does with a real receiver.

There was also talk that Olin Kreutz was the problem since both Brian Greise and Kyle had numerous fumbles as well. But hey, its only 1 year and its the minimum...just glad he doesnt have to start coaching high school football yet.

Actually it's not funny. If I was wrong the Bears would have won a SB a few years back. But I'm right, and Wrecks Grossman lost the biggest game of his, and his teammate's lives. That year was a perfect example of the Bears overcoming the plague that is Rex Grossman. He had passer ratings of 10.2 against the Cardinals and 1.3 against the Vikings and the Bears still won both of those games. If you add up his passer ratings from all 3 games the Bears lost in 2006 it comes to 60.5. Pretty much a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

Berrian made Grossman appear alright at times - don't get it twisted. Grossman did nothing for Berrian except hold him back. And now Berrian's got no one in Minnesota - tough luck for that guy. Grossman should just be thankful he'll be getting an NFL paycheck for one more year.

Don't get me wrong, he made a few big plays and had some big games, I acknowledge that. But damn, no need to blindly support the guy. He's terrible.
You can very easily find the low points of his season. I never denied that. But you also neglected to put in the 7 games he was over the 100 passer rating. And the 2 games in the playoffs that year he did quite alright, if he hadnt they wouldnt have even been in tampa. You said the Bears won despite him, and in saying that you were wrong. some games yes, but all the games no.
