LOL @ non-Bears fans questioning Bears fan on how bad Rex Grossman is.

Believe me.. this guy is one of my favourite players ever.. from college to the NFL, both on my teams.. and I cant even come to the guys defense. Hes terrible. He showed flashes of "brilliance" but never, ever put it together consistently. He constantly underthrew, overthrew, sidethrew receivers, even if they were mediocre. If we had a decent QB to rally us in the SB we might've actually been able to make that a ball game.

You said the Bears won despite him, and in saying that you were wrong. some games yes, but all the games no.
I wanted Rex Grossman to be good more than anything. Even after years of sucking i wanted him to play over Orton at 1st. But the fact is he's terrible. But YOU neglected to mention that the very same season where he had 7 games with a QB rating over 100 he also had 5 games with a QB rating under 40 including a game where it was 0, one game where it was 1, and a game where it was 10. Even shitty QB's don't play THAT bad.

I didnt neglect those games, I admitted they were there. I knew his bad games and I knew his good ones. I was just saying, people who say the bears won despite him arent fully aware of some of the things he did. Not all games the bears won in his 20 sometihg wins were the defense.

The bad will never hide, but people dont want to give credit sometimes. Im not saying he was the best, worst or whatever. Im saying that he helped get the team to the SB and in the end thats all I cared about. Winning would have been better yes, and I also would have loved for him to play better along with the defense that game.

I wouldn't say the bears won every game he played him despite him. What i will say is they got to the superbowl despite his less than inspiring playoff performances. Rex's only job was to hand the ball off to Jones and nnot turn the ball over, and he didn't even do that very well

I laughed so hard when he didn't signed for a vet. minimum. Rosenhaus had all over his Twitter page that "several teams were very interested in Rex." Oh man..that Rosenhaus, what tricky games he plays.

I don't think Grossman will be a good back-up. He's not very smart, he makes a lot of mistakes, and he's not very dedicated to his craft. I'd rather have Jim Sorgi as my backup.

Rex actually played pretty well in the NFC playoffs....IMO they don't beat Seattle if not for Rex.

But whatever. He was up and down and over all below average. Good luck in Houston. Should be interesting to see what he does with a real WR and a decent OC.

I don't think it's that he's not smart, its that he doesn't take help. When he makes a mistake in the game, instead of talking to his coaches and other QB's about it he prefers to sit by himself and think about it, which even he admitted to himself as his biggest fault.

                            1. Not taking help isn't smart.

                            2. I would say that knowing you have a fault and not correcting it is not smart.

If you had the 1st Rd history we had in this decade you'd trade two future busts for Cutler too.
