If You Had To Cut One Player...

No need to bust a nut buddy.
And you can write all you want about the line, but as some point, the back's gotta make a move.
Addai has been slow busting into the holes [when they're there], while Rhodes has been playing like it's his contract year. I agree, the line has been messed up a lot - what I don't agree is that Addai is a keeper.
He's been shitty out of the backfield, blocking, and running the damn ball. I have a feeling he's just another system-wrought back [EDGE].
And on a side note, I haven't missed a Colts game in five years?
seriously look at the players, and tell me who the better runningback is.
I mean, seriously, sit down, and look at the players, and tell me who the better runningback is.
they literally have the same average, and Rhodes has 2 less carries this season then Addai. obviously the run game has been pitiful this year, but if you somehow think that if we had to choose between two backs we'd be better off with Rhodes then Addai, you have no clue what your fucking talking about.
when a back is getting hit in the backfield when he gets the ball, he usually isn't going to do much with it unless he is one of those backs that belong in the HOF. 2 runningbacks have done that in Indianapolis in the 10+ years I've been watching them seriously. Marshall Faulk, and Edgerrin James before his injury. I don't think Addai is one of the best to ever play, but I do believe if you give him enough daylight, he can make something out of it, I remember watching him run against Kansas city last year and he was finding holes that Jesus Christ himself couldn't find.
Addai is faster, more explosive, stronger, better vision, the guy is a better runningback in EVERY aspect, the reason he doesn't have shit for yards is because when he gets the ball, hes getting hit. Obviously being injured all the time doesn't help, but you have to have somewhat of an O-line to be good. Marshall Faulk did it in fucking 98, but it was Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James was busting 70+ yarders his first two years in the League, but after he tore up his knee he turned into the system back.
don't get confused on that subject either, James was an incredible back before he got fucked up, lead the league in rushing two years in a row, despite seeing nothing but blitzes from D's trying to break a young Peyton Manning. if James hadn't of fucked up his knee, people wouldn't know or give a flying fuck who Ladanian Tomlinson is. James didn't become a system back until after that injury, where he got his yards because of strong O-line play, he showed some flashes, I remember that game against the Bears where he made the entire Bears D look retarded and put up 200+ yards that game, then again, Brian Urlacher was hurt that game.
Addai is the LEAST of our problems in the run game, Addai has flaws, but Rhodes are bigger, Rhodes isn't putting up any better statistical numbers then Addai, Rhodes is doing the EXACT same thing Addai is. and if we had a strong O-line, you would see the difference in the backs, as such was obvious in the superbowl year, where Addai was carving everyone up, and everyone was pissed off when Rhodes came in there and tried to dance every time he got the ball.
did you see Addai's run against the Chargers this year? where he cut on Cromartie so bad Cromartie pretty much said "fuck it" and didn't even bother trying to turn around and make the tackle?
give it time, have faith, I think Addai will make a comeback next year, maybe he'll do something in the playoffs, I doubt it, I'd LOVE to see indianapolis run the table and win another championship, but realisticly, no run game + shaky defense = an L in the game column.
difference between Addai and Moorehead is Moorehead literally sucked for 3 or 4 years straight, he dropped balls, and was honestly one of the most pitiful recievers I'd ever seen try to play football on a professional level, I'm pretty sure Jerry Rice could go put on pads now and he'd be better then Moorehead.
Addai has had one bad year, but name a runningback on the colts that doing better then him?Comment

Do you realize what your even saying? Addai and RHODES are putting up the same numbers. If Addai is the type of back your describing him as, then he should be doing better than some Raider-Scrub.
While I agree that James was a great, great, great back before he screwed up his knee - he still was the product of an insanely-consistent Indy O.
So kid, I'm gonna let you argue your ass off - but it is of my general opinion that Addai shouldn't be starting in the Indy backfield.

I should have elaborated here. Brackett only missed a little bit of time - but I've only noticed Jennings' play at corner decreasing the last couple of week.Comment

Marty Booker/Brandon Lloyd/Rashied Davis.. whoever the starter is opposite Hester on any given Sunday.
Oh, and John St. Clair. That dude is the worst O-Linemen ive ever seen.Last edited by Kuzzy Powers; 12-26-2008, 04:51 PM.Comment

we all need to stop arguing about the running backs on the Colts and get to the gist of who needs to be cut. It's Ryan Diem. He's overrated on madden, he's a decent blocker but that's only when he doesn't go offsides. Every time a false start is called, it's on Ryan DiemsigpicComment

where the hell have you been?
Jennings has been a nickel back for years because he couldn't win the job over the Harper - David combo, and after that he still couldn't beat out Hayden or Jackson,
the only reason the guy is playing is because Marlin Jackson is on IR, and the other two kids are complete trash...(Ratlif is iffy, he'll make a great play everyone once in a while, but most of the time he is getting embarassed as bad as Jennings is., I bet if you gave Ratlif time at the position and coached him he could end up being a pretty solid corner, but I was shitting bricks when he fumbled two punt returns in one game.)
Jennings has never been a contributor...Comment

Aaron Ross. Were it last year, I would have said Corey Webster, because he was garbage. As a matter of fact, the Giants' DBs are way too erratic. Some days, Ross acts alright and makes plays. Other days, he's an embarrassment. he can't make a tackle, gets in the way, let's interceptions go right through his hand for big plays... Jesus Christ. Corey Webster... man, he got benched last year because he sucked so hard and he only got back in because Madison got injured and he became a whole different player in the playoffs. This is how he plays defense:
