He's a D-bag no doubt...but if he wants to get paid, he'll stay out of trouble. He seems to have a changed attitude this off-season. He's been at all of the Chiefs' off-season workouts and activities...he's in great shape...and he has his mouth shut as he's just goin about his business.

With his head on straight and a chip on his shoulder, LJ is a dangerous back.

      1. He doesn't turn 30 until November 19th...it's not like he turns 30 before the season starts.

      2. LJ doesn't have a lot of wear and tear for a guy who is about to turn 30. He didn't start until his SR year at Penn State. He sat behind Priest Holmes when he got to KC. '06 was his first year as the full time starter.

      3. People thought he was done after his 416 carry season in '06. He stayed healthy last year and averaged 4.5 yards a carry and had the 2 longest runs of his career.

He has a lot left in the tank for a running back about to turn 30 because he hasn't had the typical 30 year old running back career.

LJ would only have to average just above 62 yards a game to hit 1000.

With the Chiefs schedule, he'll do that easily.

Assuming of course he stays healthy.

That said - there's no way he wins Comeback Player of the Year unless he goes off for like 1800 and 20 TD..

I see a lot of people saying Tom Brady is gonna win this and chances are he will. If he has another playoff season and puts up good numbers, is there a way someone like Matt Hasselbeck, Ocho Cinco, Carson Palmer etc.. could win it? Or would they have to put up a record setting season to even contend with Tom Brady?

the only way somebody other then brady wins is exactly that, they need to break a record, or Carson...im thinkin if he gets 25+ TD's, around 4,000 yds and a low int number and the bengals get to 10-11 wins he has a chance, because nto only did he comeback but he improved his team, We've all seen the Pats can still win a good amount of games even without brady

i think they are already engraving Brady's name on the award, its what the NFL wants for marketing purposes

If Brady puts up better numbers than those three and New England makes the playoffs then Brady will win. If one of those guys outs up better numbers than they will win. At least thats how it should be.

My bold prediction of who is gonna win it is Fred Taylor.

Yeah, I was just throwing his name out there for discussion. Pretty boring thread if we all say Brady is going to win it.

Even being an Eagles fan, I have to say, Westbrook has no shot at winning this award.
