Round 1
1. Detroit (0-16) Andre Smith-OT, Alabama
After a lot of people said they don't want to have Matt Stafford as the first pick for Detroit I changed it to another need, Andre Smith. They need a lot of help on the o-line and the addition of Andre Smith is a nice starting point. Detroit will probably go with a QB they already have on their roster or sign someone in FA. Maybe Cleveland will be willing to deal Derek Anderson... doubtful but maybe.
2. St. Louis (2-14) Aaron Curry-OLB, Wake Forest
An offensive lineman is a big need but Andre Smith won't be here and Oher is not the guy to take with the #2 pick. St. Louis is in desperate need of an upgrade to their linebacker core and Curry will be able to start right away. A little high for Curry but will be able to produce.
3. Kansas City (2-14) Brian Orakpo-DE, Texas
Kansas City is going to give Tyler Thigpen one more season to see what he can do. With the departure of Jared Allen last season Kansas City needs to find a defensive end that can cause havok on the quarterback. Orakpo is a rare talent that will be able to make a huge impact.
4. Seattle (4-12) Michael Crabtree-WR, Texas Tech
Seattle needs help on the offensive line and at WR. Branch is always injured and the other guy is really old, I forgot his name. Crabtree should be able to elivate the offense into a very pass happy attack, helping get Seattle back on top in the NFC West.
5. Cleveland (4-12) Aaron Maybin-DE/OLB, Penn State
I had Aaron Curry here earlier and if Maybin decides to declare its still win/win for Cleveland. Maybin has a nice combonation of size and speed to either play DE or OLB and cause a lot of pressure on the QB.
6. Cincinnati (4-11-1) Michael Oher-OT, Ole Miss
Cincinnati is lucky to have such a good talent fall to them. With the addition of Oher their offensive line won't nearly be as bad as last year and finally keep Carson Palmer on his feet to provide protection for one of the best QB's in the league.
7. Oakland (5-11) Eugene Monroe-OT, Virginia
Oakland just can't seem to get the offensive line up to snuff. Finally I think they'll hit gold with Monroe. As long as Russell is well protected he should be able to deliver the ball to the mediocre Wide Recievers in the bay town.
8. Jacksonville (5-11) Malcolm Jenkins-CB, Ohio State
As a Jacksonville fan I could not stand the play of our team. Drayton Florence was not the answer opposite Rashean Mathis. Malcolm Jenkins will eventually be the #1 in Jacksonville due to Mathis slowing down. But expect the defense to instantly get better with Brian Williams moving back to SS.
9. Green Bay (6-10) Everette Brown-DE, Florida State
How can one team the previous year have such a nice defense then lay an egg and be horrible. Don't get me wrong they intercepted the hell out of teams but it seemed there was no pressure from the outside other than Kampman. Green Bay would be absolutely ecstatic to see Brown still on the board ready to don the Green and Yellow.
10. San Francisco (7-9) Taylor Mays-S, USC
The secondary in San Fran is suspect. Mike Singeltary is a defensive coach. Taylor Mays? Yes he will help. He will elevate their pass defense a lot. Take him!
11. Buffalo (7-9) Michael Johnson-DE, Georgia Tech
Buffalo kind of collapsed this season. But for the most part it wasn't the offense's fault. The defense played tough all year but couldn't hold on to a lead. Michael Johnson should be able to cause more pressure opposite Aaron Schobel because Tom Brady will be back next year and they need to keep him from completing passes.
12. Denver (8-8) BJ Raji-DT, Boston College
Denver's offense is lighting it up but their defense is lackluster. They can't stop the run or cause a whole lot of pressure on the QB. Enter Raji, who really caught on fire during the later part of the season. He should be able to contribute immediately.
13. Washington (8-8) Sen'derrick Marks-DT, Auburn
Washington is just like Buffalo, they collapsed. Washington's defensive front needs a bit of work and Marks could step in and cause a fair amount of disruption to opposing offensive lines. He is the kind of guy that demands double teams and could free up DE's to get to the QB's.
14. New Orleans (8-8) James Laurinitis-MLB, Ohio State
A corner would be a good pick here but Vontae Davis would be a stretch here. Laurinitis was an absolute animal at OSU and could boost the linebacking core in New Orleans.
15. Houston (8-8) William Moore-S, Mizzou
Some say a safety is the missing piece of the puzzle in Houston. I don't believe that but it is one of the final pieces of the puzzle. Houston finished a sexy 8-8 here and should be able to be +.500 next year with the help that Moore will give to the secondary.
16. San Diego (8-8) Brandon Spikes-MLB, Florida
San Diego sneaked into the playoffs this year by getting hot at the right time and by playing a weak division. The loss of Shawne Merriman this year hurt the defense. He'll be back next year but they need another presence in the linebacking core. Spikes is a very rangy LB and can drop into coverage or rush the passer and stop the run. He is a true complete linebacker and can help the defense immediately.
17. New York Jets (9-7) Matthew Stafford-QB, Georgia
Believe me, Brett Favre will not be back next season and even if he does, he won't be welcome back in New York. They need a QB for the future and I don't think Kellen Clemons is that guy. Stafford falls this far due to a lack of need at QB.
18. Chicago (9-7) Jason Smith-OT, Baylor
Chicago will continue to improve the offensive line with the addition of Smith. Smith should be able to start right away at either LT or RT whichever position Lovie Smith decides but he looks like he will do a good job of protecting Neck Beard.
19. Tampa Bay (9-7) Chris Wells-RB, Ohio State
Bones says Tampa doesn't need a RB but I believe they do. Carnell Williams is unreliable, Ernest Graham is not an every down back and Warrick Dunn has been playing since Johnny Unitas was a rookie. It is an absolute steal at 19 to take Beanie Wells and he will instantly make the Bucs offense better.
20. Detroit - from Dallas (9-7) Rey Maualuga-MLB, USC
The addition of Maualuga will give a huge shot in the arm to the defense of Detroit. He is an excellent steal in this draft this late. He will be able to start and most likely make all the linebackers around him much, much better.
21. Arizona (9-7) Knowshown Moreno-RB, Georgia
Arizona has one of the worst running game's in the NFL. Edge is old, Tim Hightower is only OK, and whatever happened to JJ Arrington. If Moreno comes out this year he should be able to bring a halfway decent running game to Arizona and make their offense elite.
22. Philadelphia (9-6-1) Percy Harvin-WR, Florida
Philly has been missing that #1 WR since T.O. The addition of Percy Harvin should be able to fill out the offense with Harvin at 1, Brown at 2 and Jackson in the slot. McNabb can still toss the ball and with Harvin the offense will get that much better.
23. Minnesota (10-6) Sam Bradford-QB, Oklahoma
Minnesota has got to know that T-Jack is not the answer. Teams may or may not trade up for this pick but Minnesota would be stupid to pass up on this rare talent especially if he falls this far.
24. New England (11-5) Vontae Davis-CB, Illinois
New England hasn't been the same without Asante Samuel. Ellis Hobbs did a decent job being a #1 corner but he had no help on the opposite side of the field. Davis has the talent to be a #1 but could thrive as a #2.
25. Atlanta (11-5) DJ Moore-CB, Vanderbilt
Atlanta may need a DT more than a CB but there is no DT worth the pick here. Moore is a great talent and is another player who somehow falls into their laps here. He should be able to start right away maybe as a second corner and make the defensive pass coverage a lot better.
26. Miami (11-5) Alphonso Smith-CB, Wake Forest
I originally had a DT here but Miami needs an upgrade to their secondary to be able to continue to contend in the AFC East when Tom Brady gets healthy again. He should be able to cover most recievers that teams throw at him.
27. Baltimore (11-5) Darrius-Heyward Bey-WR, Maryland
BmoreGDX is probably loving this pick but its very true. Bey is an explosive wide reciever and will make an immediate impact. Flacco will love him and Bey will be the eventual replacement for Derrick Mason.
28. Indianapolis (12-4) Jeremy Maclin-WR, Mizzou
Indy needs to fix their run defense but they also need to find a replacement for Marvin Harrison. Maclin is a quick WR that will be able to spread the passing game more wide open than it already is. Not only will he be a deep threat he will be able to thrive in the return game.
29. Philadelphia - from Carolina (12-4) Jermaine Gresham-TE, Oklahoma
Philly should go offensive line but Celek and Smith aren't reliable enough to stay good targets for McNabb. Gresham is a huge target and will likely be able to continue to keep the passing game going.
30. Tennessee (13-3) Macho Harris-CB, VT
Tennessee is in need of help in their secondary which was the reason why they couldn't stop the Ravens in the playoffs. Macho isn't going to be the #1 guy but will be able to help as a number two and stop a lot of passes from being completed on his side of the field.
31. New York Giants (12-4) Hakeem Nicks-WR, UNC
I think he sneaks into the first round here. Nicks will be an immediate upgrade to the WR core in New York and will be their potential #1 eventually. He is a little raw but has talent out the ass.
32. Pittsburgh (12-4) Duke Robinson-OG, Oklahoma
The third player from Oklahoma to be taken in the first round and will be the reason Big Ben will stay on his feet next year. We all know this pick is going to happen so no real need for an explanation.
Round 2
