I hate the Brett Favre/Bus Cook soap opera as much as the next guy, but its funny to me how everyone hates the good QB who refuses to retire (Favre), while the same people are quick to defend the bad QB who is just getting out of jail (Vick). Even with last year's performance, Favre still threw for more yards, TD, had a higher comp%, and almost a higher rating (81.0 v. 81.6) than ANY season of Vick's.
WCCO's Mark Rosen reports Favre is a Viking

I don't get the Favre hate.....if the dude wants to play who cares? You can't get mad at him for wanting to play the game. Before the Jets meltdown down the stretch Favre was playing good football. The Vikings' other options are Jackson and Sage.....are you serious? Even an injured Favre is better than that.Comment

If his arm holds out, and he doesn't get hurt, and you have coaches that can control him, he'll be good for you.
I'm amazed he's lasted this long having such poor mechanics. Once his arm strength goes, he doesn't have much to fall back on, unless he changes his throwing technique.
He's been able to rely on arm strength wall into his late 30's. That's pretty impressive.Comment

Tarvaris's Passing Stats...
YR TM GS CMP ATT CMP% YDS Y/A TD LNG INT RTG
2006 MIN 4 47 81 58.0 475 5.9 2 50 4 62.5
2007 MIN 12 171 294 58.2 1911 6.5 9 71 12 70.8
2008 MIN 9 88 149 59.1 1056 7.1 9 59 2 95.4
Suffice to say, I think Tarvaris is improving.

I hope Brett can help-out Minnesota win a Super Bowl. I think AD's earned it. :D I dunno, I wish he'd quit retiring and un-retiring. Apparently, he did it this year because he 'didn't want to offend NY' by asking for a trade or release because they've treated him so well. All I'm saying is, when my respective grandfather's retired from the post office and the airplane industry, they didn't keep coming back for more.Comment

I love people who defend T-Jax the guy is terrible.
Brett Favre will make you better for maybe that game. But in the long run, it will be no better than Jackson or whoever you throw back there.
The guy is a choke artist. And unfortunately it's 1 and done in the NFL.Comment

lol. I like the RAIDERS. (I know, it's terrible.) Anywho, did I type somewhere I like the Packers. I mean, they're cool and all. I like Ryan Grant and Greg Jennings and Al Harris and Aaron Rodgers, but I'm a Silver and Black man through and through.Comment

I didn't really want Brett to come back but it's his career and he still wants to play so I will live with it. What are you basing the choke artist blast on? Don't really think statistics would bear you out on that one.Comment
