    Will Devin Hester.....

lol, "Devin Hester, you are ridiculous!"

I think they should've just kept him as a full time returner. You can find a receiver to do what Devin Hester will be able to do on offense but having a returner that can take 6 back to the house each year is just ridiculous and never been done in one season let alone back to back. What he will be doing on offense can easily be matched but what he did as a returner i don't think ever will be. It was a HUGE mistake im my opinion making the switch. Obviously now it doesn't look like the Bears have anyone half way decent past Devin Hester so at this point taking him off as a receiver would just be stupid.

I do seriously believe that Hester is going to do work with Jay Cutler at the helms. They probably won't even use him on KR at all if he does well at WR ha.

He should have just stayed as the return man because he could have potentially been the greatest ever. Instead hes going to be a average at best receiver.

agreed it may not be as glorious as being a wide receiver but being the best of all time at anything is a incredible accomplishment.

It all comes down to money.

It's just like baseball, do you want starting pitcher money or closer money? - One of the main reasons why Joba chose to become a starter instead of setting up for Mo and eventually becoming the Yanks closer in the future.

Papelbon tried the same thing - but Epstein & Francona weren't having it.

Still the greatest return man of all time.. and he made that impact in just a couple seasons.

That being said he didnt seem to have it on KRs last year.. maybe it was bcus he was focusing on the receiving, but he wasnt the same returner. Manning was actually more effective. Still, Hester as a WR.. hes got a good chance to beat out pretty much any CB in the league one on one.. and the key is to be able to use him as if he WERE a KR.. give him some space to create on the field and let him do his thing.

I think he will have his best season so far, but i dont think he'll post eye popping numbers. The Bears would also be daft not to use him in at least a punt return capacity, if nothing else just his name changes some teams special teams game plan

                Correct.

Some people fail to realize that even if Hester isn't putting up the numbers, the special teams is still getting decent yardage, just because the kicking team is afraid of him.

Mitchell wasnt nearly as dynamic. He just did it for a million years. I preferred guys like Eric Metcalf and Mel Gray.

The only guy that can compare to Hester was Dante Hall.

This. Hester is one of the few guys who only had to do it for a short time to prove hes probably the best to ever do it. He broke returning records in very short time.

On NFL Networks Top 10 return aces Devin Hester was #1.

Hester will be returning punts this year as far as I know. Not sure where the Knox info came from............

Hester blows at WR and isn't a #1. The sooner the Bears realize this the better.

Yeah, making him a full time receiver is dumb. It will probably turn out just as well as Dante Hall's career at WR.

Hester put up considerably better numbers in his first year as a full time WR than Hall did in pretty much his whole career. I understand the comparison bcus they're both great return men.. but Hester definitely has more potential to be a good WR than Hall.

Theres no reason Hester cant get to 1000 yards with a QB that can elevate the ball throwing to him.
