    Giants or Eagles

Straight up, who's the better franchise and who will be better in the upcoming season.

And no use of the word almost or if. That's the talk of someone talking out of their ass.

Giants will be better, win more games this year due to a solid offensive line and a great running games

Eagles will be more entertaining and will be better in the next couple of years with their beastly draft picks

Giants division winners, Eagles wild card winners

I really can't call who will have the better season right now. I need to see Eli w/o Plaxico first.

I think the Giants will suffer because their receiving corps, for the first time in memory, are actually below the Eagles.

Manning is an average QB who relied big time on Burress and Toomer. Now they're gone ... and replaced by average WRs at best.

The Giants will still be a team to be reckoned with, but I just don't think they bring as many weapons as the Eagles.

Of course, the Eagles desperately need Westbrook to play at least 12 games. That's the wildcard in this equation.

                Osi - Canty - Robbins - Bernard - Cofield - Kiwanuka - Tuck = JUST THE D-LINE...NASTAAYYY!!!
Obviously if we're going to be biased here i'll pick the Eagles...

Say that the Giants D is nasty but the Eagles had the #1 D in the NFC Last year and haven't lost much... people say we lost a lot losing B-Dawk but he was nowhere near his best last year, we're losing more of a leader then a Star at this point. Adding Ellis Hobbs is good and Jaqaui Parker really established himself as a D-Line Threat last year.

And in the draft, all the Eagles needed was one good receiver and we may have something to start with in Jeremy Maclin, Desean Jackson showed he has what it takes to be a good receiver. McNabb is still the best QB in Eagles history so I don't see why people question him on anything he does, he knows what he's doing out there. And as long as we have Westbrook on the field then who knows the possibilites..

                But.......its a close matchup sir

the Giants DT's are often overlooked by people cause of the DE's but they are very solid players (not some homer shit) . Robbins had 5.5 sacks which ranks third among DT's in the league (behind K.Williams and Haynesworth who had 8.5 sacks). Theres no doubt the Giants D will be one of the best in the leauge but no one really knows how the offense will be after losing Toomer, Plax, and Ward who where three of the biggest weapons the Giants had. Everyone saw how Plax leaving affected the offense and now you take Toomer and Ward out too and leave it up to some unproven WR's and the oft injured Jacobs ...

                    That's not rough, that's catastrophic.
Manning an ok quarterback, but if they're expecting him to win games on his own, they're in trouble.

well if that "ok" QB can get us back in the SB - I'm all for it. Both teams are evenly matched up. our OL and DL are both better than that of the Eagles. The Eagles CBs are better than ours, Their unproven receiving core is better than out receiving core, one of their guys just married an ex-Playboy hooker - waahoo! and what not.

This conversation can go on and on - but the bottom line is in the last couple of years the Giants have won 3 Superbowls - Playing in 4, How many have the Eagles won?.

                        ??

I think the Giants will be better. Ridiculous D-Line and great running game = success.

Very tough. Both teams are good. IMO the Eagles are a better team now than they were last year, and they knocked the Giants out of the playoffs in their own stadium. So I give the slight edge to the Eagles at this point (no homer).

The Giants will be better with getting Osi back, but we'll see if he'll be as effective as he was before the knee injury.

Also, the Giants were noticeably weaker on offense without Plax, and they lost one of their talented RBs, so that will hurt them.

As far as franchises, it all depends on how you measure that. The Eagles have been competitive for the almost the entire decade while always being in control of their salary cap and drafting relatively well under Reid. No Super Bowls and a poor NFCCG record hurts them, though.

The Giants were similar. Competitive for most of the decade with a couple bad seasons mixed in. They have what the Eagles don't, a Super Bowl win, so I'll give them the slight edge. Both are quality franchises.

But back to this year, the Eagles are 1a in this division and the Giants are 1b. It's going to be fun to watch these two play this year.

The Giants' DTs are very underrated.

They're gonna look even better now that they're coming off the bench.

If your gonna brag about winning that last super bowl, please don't say your QB led you there.
