Not that Dallas is a Northern tier team but that place will be stacked with concerts, bull riding, rodeos and MONSTER TRUCKS , those events RUIN grass
JJ has 4 seperate surfaces for the field.

    One for college/HS games

    One for soccer matches

One for special events (like the aforementioned rodeos)

And obviously, the Cowboys home field

Can't speak for you guys, but I'd much rather play on FieldTurf than that swamp that passes for grass at Heinz Field, especially late in the year.

      Pussies.

As one of those oldtime baseball players said "If a cow doesn't eat it, I don't wanna play on it."
Field turf is amazing, i hated playing on grass. When you get tackled or tackle, it would suck. I hardly ever got turf burns, so maybe thats why i prefer it. Oh, and the fact that my school has a turf field and i don't have much say to where i want to play on...

But it's not like Dallas gets that kind of weather anyway ... and the stadium has a retractable roof!

Every retractable roof stadium should go the Arizona/Houston route ... removable grass fields.

Field in Houston is not removable. Only sunlight that grass gets is via the open roof.

And Cowboys Stadium is not like that giant toaster in the middle of the desert in that it was built into the ground, not on it.

I'd estimate the field is a good 50 feet below street level.

I imagine being used to playing on that crap when your opponent isn't doesn't hurt.

Not that I'm hating or anything. ;)

Ill take the atmosphere at the new Giant stadium over the over priced Cowboys stadium anyday.

lol @ Giants fans talking about overpriced.

I've seen the cost of season tickets for that new stadium. I've also seen that PSL bullshit.

Don't act like it's a bargain to see a game at the Meadowlands, to say nothing of the ridiculousness that is the parking lot there these days.

I love field turf, played @ three stadiums that had it this year. We have had field turf installed at our stadium this year. Everybody loves it and is looking forward to play on it. The little black beads so get all over you tho.

I think they shoud've gotten that Grassy turf that the Lions has at their stadium. It's almost like you're playing on rubber, which is cool and it doesnt burn

I took a tour of the new stadium just last week and man it is amazing. The big screen is definetly the first thing you'll notice. It is humongo. Unfortuntely, the stadium was about 97% complete....they had no turf layed down and the lockerooms were still being worked on. And yeah, a lot of stuff in the stadium is going to be overpriced. Especially this year since it'll be the inagural season.

I saw some of the menu items at the concession stands.

I've seen worse. And they say the lines will be extremely short since there will be so many.

Skins are finishing under .500 this year.

After hearing this nonsense about Zorn letting vets stay home during training camp, I'm convinced.

Nevermind that Portis hates his guts.

Little Danny's gonna be conducting yet another coaching search this offseason.
