I am so tired of hearing about how someone "can't win a big game." Big games usually involve two of the top teams in the league. Meaning, its tough to win a big game. Just because the guy has not won a Super Bowl or a playoff game does not mean he is a bad quarterback.

Some fans seem to think that it's easy to win in the NFL. It's not. All the more reason to respect the teams, and coaches, who can do it on a consistent basis. Now, that isn't to say that Romo is free of criticisms. But, the numbers he has put up and the way he has performed show that he is a good quarterback and not an overrated one.

lol... your a dopey bitch arent you? i guess i should have know with a name like ryan leaf, and whats worse is you had a choice and still used it...

romo cant win a big game, thats fact, the nfl is full of elite atheletes, but only the best of tehbest will win, and only they can be called great. romo is not a great, he is an ok qb among a group of elite atheletes. would romo be a bad ass on a college team? yes. but in the nfl romo is just your average cignal caller who chokes when it counts the most. guys like eli and ben both have succeeded at the highest level so when people say they are better than romo, this is not opinion, it is fact.

are you the real ryan leaf? you sure cry like he does.

Just being sure, because, you know, it hasn't been said enough times.

Same thing was said about Ben Awfulsburger until he won two rings. That, and he was a bad ass QB in college too.

However, he should only be credited with one.

Roethlisberger had one of the worst passing games of his career, completing just nine of 21 passes for 123 yards and two interceptions; his passer rating of 22.6 was the lowest in Super Bowl history by a winning quarterback.

Romo will choke anyway.

If they get a REAL QB that can actually win a game, then I'll be afraid. But why are they good now? You take away a future HOF receiver, the motivation of the team, don't make any good offseason additions and you still want to say you're even going to come close to winning the East? Yeah, right.

The fact is either New York or Philly will win that division and maybe even the Deadskins will finish third.

Hop off Homos balls and learn to cheer for a REAL team & QB.
McChoke has never choked in his career? I dont get it? Its even in his name . What was McNabb doing in the Arizona first half when he was throwing passes to his wrs feet? I bet it was all planned

even if you dont say he earned the firstone, that still leaves him with 1 more than romo doesnt it?

Tony Romo will be one of the top 5 candidates for MVP in 2009.

If I'm wrong, I'll leave VSN forever.

He's not young anymore, but he's only had 3 seasons of starting. I wouldn't be too surprised if he takes the next step. He could still jump up the QB ladder. I won't believe it until he stops faltering late in the season.

There you go giving me another reason to root against Dallas!!!

Are we talking regular season top 5 in stats?
                        What stats? QB Rating?
Top 5 in MVP voting? NFL or NFC?

If Dallas falters and doesn't make the playoffs, or loses in the first round, does that take Toni out of the Top 5 MVP candidate?

Just trying to set the ground rules so things are nice and clear.

I'm sorry...who is the "dopey bitch"? You are stating something as fact that can not even be stated as a fact. You can not measure what he can and can not do until his career is over. You are stating "romo cant win a big game," as fact. When in reality, the fact is he has not won a playoff game. That does not mean he can't. It just mean he has yet to do it.

I never said he was great. I never said he was elite. All I said was that it is tough to win in the NFL and that Romo is not overrated.

So says the guy on the message board - a lot of prep and work goes into a game. Guys don't forget how to play. Like I said before, both teams - in a big game - are usually evenly matched and sometimes, they just have your number. As I also said before, Romo is not free from criticism. I just tend to think that Brandon Jacobs is off base in saying that he is overrated and not a good quarterback.

Not sure where I said that Romo was better than either of these players...sooooo...not sure why you even made this point. In fact, most of your response to my post seemed to ignore anything relevant to what I stated as my opinion.

I wasn't aware you knew Ryan...or that he cried. Even more amazing is that he cries just like me.

Basically all you have done in your post is show me how much of a fucking idiot you really are and why other VSN members think you are a dumb-fuck. I stopped getting into message board wars when MM was in its prime, but, I felt a responsibility to point out your poor logic and tired act. When you want to debate with the big boys be sure to come prepared douchebag.
