Brett lost the tools to play in GB. He started to SUCK DONKEY BALLS in cold weather. He was OK in bad weather, like snow, but cold weather and he was done.

And did you follow the whole BF drama? As a huge Packer fan from the 60's I DID. Brett didn't win any friends by turning down his chances to come back to GB (after he retired) and then going on Greta (Fox News), bashing GB, trying to force an out and out release. Remember, he didn't actually decide to come back to GB until after a bunch of drama.

Again, did you even follow the BF drama?

I hope he goes to the Vikes and kicks the shit out of the Packers. Then I hope he gets his leg broke so I don't have to hear about him anymore.

How could i not? It was on all the time.

What I'm trying to say is that at some time in the road, they told Brett that it was time for Aaron to take over. He said sure, he was fine with that. But he changed his mind and wanted to come back, the Pack said no, we have our guy in Aaron. Brett than wanted to be released.

          Am I right?

You do not say no to a HOF QB, especially after a 13-3 season where you lost to the eventual SB champs in overtime.

Well, he has hurt his relationship with GB fans. I'm hoping for an insignificant Viking season. As a Packer Fan, I think Viking fans understand why I'm hoping for this. We hope for this every year. Nothing new. They wish the same on GB. And with an insignificant Viking's season, for Brett to retire for good, make up with GB, and have everything be water over the bridge.

I don't think any Viking's fans will be upset with me for wanting this. Viking, GB and Bear fans all understand that we don't want each other to do well. Just normal for same division teams. When the Lions turn things around, (and they will at some point) they will be in the list too.

The management must have told Brett it was getting to the point where he needs to go, and that coupled with the desire to heal, he retired. Yet he healed and then he wanted to play.

Let's not forget that between Favre getting the itch and the Packers telling him that it was too late occurred over a period of a few weeks during which time there were no OTA or meaningful practice snaps taken by Aaron Rodgers.

For what it is worth, I don't think Rodgers was the reason the Packers sucked balls last season but TT still gets bad marks for the horrible way he handled the Favre situation. If the Packers don't look good this year, he is probably on the way out of Green Bay as well.

No, you're not right. Brett was given the opportunity to come back, after Brett had retired and after Aaron Rodger's was told he was the guy. But Brett declined and decided to stay retired. Then he wanted to be released. Then decided to come back to GB right before training camp. He didn't make a definite decision to come back until after trying to force GB to release him. He may have made some inquires, but this was after the free agent period and the draft. He did not make a decision to actually come back until after a lot of GB bashing to the media.

Not BS. If you followed it like you say, you would know he had the chance to come back, before the draft. What was he trying to heal? He didn't have any significant injuries at the end of that season.

                      Man, I'm calling BS.

Ya an itch and no definite decision, and well after free agency and the draft. If Brett really wanted to be back in GB, he really f'd up. (And he started to suck in cold weather).

No shit he lied. Does lying make him a bad person? Does that mean you guys shouldn't play him anymore? He was told he should retire soon, and he did. He was given the option to return yet he didn't because why would he want to return to a team that doesn't want him? Another team that wants him, the Vikings, showed interest and that got him interested in playing again.

Maybe its me, i used to be a Packers/Favre fan when i was getting into football. Maybe that's why i don't hate him, yet to me, its clear to me that he felt betrayed and now he's trying to capitalize on a shaky scenario and do the best he can with the team who wants him, the Vikings.
