I didn't forget about him, it's just that he's been hurt too much to be effective, he's one of the guys thats right there on the top 5 for me tho, but he has to stay healthy. If he's 100% he's top 3 easy.

Did some of you forget about Westbrook? lol
I almost put Forte, he's so underrated by alot of people, finished 7th in rushing, like 2nd in yards from scrimmage and was almost the entire bears offense by himself. Can block, catch, run beasty,

I know he is a very talented running back and he had a couple stellar seasons. But you have to realize, Jones-Drew has never had a 1,000 yard season. You can bring up him splitting with Taylor and the injuries to the offensive line but I can't put MJD ahead of proven names who have put together MVP type seasons when he hasn't even racked 1,000 yet.

This will be a very telling year, its his opportunity to show everyone he is an elite RB but until he proves it... I am not going to label him a top 5 back.

I'm loving everyone putting Forte in their top 5. Makes me feel good that I tackled that dude back in High School and then their are pro LB's getting trucked by him.

For me the running back position transcends just running the ball. It involves blocking and catching out of the the backfield.

OK, this thread is really annoying on many levels, so don't take offense, but i'm going to pick on you.

Please explain to me how somebody like Chris Johnson is a better football player than Brian Westbrook, Stevem Jackson, or LT.

Players like Johnson, Forte, and Williams don't belong anywhere on a list of top 5 RB's, unless it's a troll attempt or you are trying to hard to be different. These players have no track record, and can easily fall off the map this year.
