The cupboard is bare for Baltimore at receiver.

Ouch, this is going to hurt the Ravens a lot. With Flacco expected to take a bigger role, this is going to hurt him. Maybe they should have pushed for Boldin a little harder.

Onto the Derrick Mason retiring, this has to do with McNair no doubt. I wish him the best and thank him for the exciting moments he gave us through out his career.

Mark Clayton has hands like Mason, if not better. He just never had the route running skillz Mason had. Watch some Ravens games. It won't be that bad. We went to the playoffs with Travis Taylor at Wide Receiver...

Wow. I always liked Mason. Maybe they should trade Boldin or Marshall?

Wow,I take a nap and I wake up to this bullshit.Well, hopefully Brandon Marshall or Anquan Boldin here we come now if this is true.According to Profootballtalk.com,
In the wake of two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Derrick Mason announcing his plans to retire earlier today, the Ravens have responded by issuing a statement noting that Mason hasn't officially filed his retirement papers at this point.

Ravens senior vice president of public and community relations Kevin Byrne released the following statement minutes ago:

"For any player to retire, he has to send a letter to the NFL stating this," Byrne said. "Derrick Mason has not done that."

It's unclear whether Mason could potentially be talked out of retiring, but the 35-year-old seemed pretty definite in the statement he released this afternoon.

Just another reason why the Ravens are stupid for not taking a WR in the draft..

I'm just having a hard time believing Derrick Mason was the key to a great season for Baltimore. When we run the ball 56% of the time, most in the NFL.
