You should have seen me watching The Pisarcik Fumble in '78. It didn't get any lower for Giants fans. I kept saying to myself, "what just happened?"

    other hair-pulling moments;
the Flipper Anderson play in '90
    Super Bowl XXXV
the playoff game vs. San Fran in '03

I don't get emotional about the Bucks but I was pissed after:

      - 2006 MNC against Florida (This one hurt the most)
      - 2007 MNC against LSU
      - 2008 USC game... this was by FAR the biggest embarassment of the Tressel era.

The Fiesta Bowl against Texas I wasn't pissed... we were 8 point dogs and made the Heisman runner-up fight for every inch, and knocked the shit out of him. Heacock goes with a blitz and Lauriniatis gets clogged up, Russell gets beat in man by a receiver, and we lose. I couldn't be upset after that one, they played their asses off.

I'm usually pretty drunk by the time the game is over to really throw fits or anything, except that time Romo fumbled the snap against the Seahawks. I remember not being able to watch SC for like 4 or 5 days cause they were always showing the damn replay.

And Chris Simms' performance in the '01 Big 12 championship game. Applewhite should have always started.

As you know, I grew up in Jersey. I was in 8th grade for this, and I talked all kinds of shit to the Giants fans at school the entire week leading up to this game.

Filpper beats Mark Collins down the right sideline, makes the catch, and keeps running all the way into the tunnel and straight into the locker room. Still my favorite Rams moment, ever, even with all that great stuff from the Greatest Show era.

Anyway, I go to school that Monday, sporting my satin Rams starter jacket, Rams hat, and shit eating grin on my face. I am immediately surrounded by basically the entire male population of the school, before some teachers who had caught wind of things saved me from what surely would have been the most epic mass beatdown in the history of Woodrow Wilson Middle School.

But as Rams fans like to say, it was "All downhill after the Flipper catch". After leading 3-0, the 49ers scored 30 unanswered points, and the Rams lost the NFC Title game 30-3. Then they missed the playoffs for the next 9 seasons, and had the worst record in the 90's until '99 and Kurt Warner & co.

The first 3 minutes of the 94 championship game were as dumbfounded and pissed as Ive ever been in a football game.
Then Deion getting away with Pass Interference against Irvin in the 4th killing the comeback I threw a hissy fit.

Under todays Rules Irvins catch wouldnt have been a fumble and Deion woulda seen 8 flags on the play. Boys woulda been only team to 3 peat =*(

If you dont get carried away occasionally when watching your fave team/athlete then Im not sure why youd be watching in the first place.
Best reason to have a license.

That game and 2007 Giants game were really the only games I've ever truly lost it as a fan.

The Seattle game the year before I was just numb.

That's why fan is short for 'fanatic'. You have to be passionate about your sports teams, or why bother? Shit, I haven't forgiven fucking Pat Riley for letting Starks shoot us out of a title. Even now he admits he made a mistake. Great. '94 was our best chance to win it all - look at the Knicks' present state. I'll be dead in the grave before NY wins another NBA championship. Oh well - at least I saw the first two.

Rolando Blackman rotting on the bench.

The worst part wasnt even Starks staying in the game, it was the fact he kept shooting.

                          it's in my youtube favorites
                          such a classic
True story.. was watching that game with my dad (Redskins fan, bigger Cowboys hater than me) .. and I was going over the clock situation with him and how we can line up Josh Brown for the GW.. and so on.. he turns to me and says

"Son.. what if Romo drops the snap and you guys don't need the field goal.."

I laugh.. tell him "Dad.. that will never happen.. this is a chip shot.."

Needless to say.. play goes off.. and I am going nuts.. but I don't know what put me in bigger disbelief, the fact it happened or the fact my dad called it.

P.S. That Hail Mary to Glenn made me shit myself.. he was so close to catching that.

Starks (who sucked), or Blackman (who barely played)?

John Starks is my most hated athlete of all time. I absolutely couldnt stand the guy. Such an arrogant little prick. I hated those Knick teams with a passion.

                              Agreed.

Which is why Reggie Miller is one of my favorite athletes of all time

There are some plays that I will remember forever. Here are some of them:

Awesome run by Charlie Garner, I remember jumping off the couch watching this one:

The AFC Championship where the Raiders beat the Titans was one of the most fun games I've ever been to. Place was rocking and the Raiders rolled the Titans to go to the super bowl, I'll never forget that.

On the flip side, the year before when Tony Siragusa sacked Rich Gannon in the AFC Championship game and hurt him was one of the most frustrating things for me to ever watch.

And of course, I will never ever forget that bullshit tuck rule game.
