The man who accused former Colts WR Marvin Harrison of shooting him last year was in critical condition after being shot seven times on Tuesday in North Philadelphia, according to a report in the New York Daily News.
Dwight Dixon, who sued Harrison after his criminal case was dismissed, was shot in the arm, chest and stomach while sitting in a parked rental car.
Dixon, 33, reportedly told police that arrived on the scene that he believed Harrison had hired someone to shoot him because of the prior dispute. The Daily News reported a police source has said that authorities are investigating whether Harrison is linked.
Witnesses reported a hooded gunman, about 6-feet tall, wearing blue jeans and white sneakers.
Harrison was released by the Colts after the season and is currently a free agent.
