    Vick just reinstated.

He was conditionally reinstated. Could play in final two preseason games if some team picks him up.

NEW YORK -- Michael Vick has been conditionally reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who will then decide on the quarterback's full reinstatement for Week 6 of the regular season.

Vick can participate without delay in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and can play in the final two preseason games -- if he can find a team that will sign him.

Once the season begins, Vick may participate in all team activities other than games, but could play as soon as October.

Goodell called a news conference for late Monday afternoon.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

If Favre doesn't sign with the Vikings by this Friday, I expect that Vick will.

I think this is as fair as it gets. It caters to both crowds saying he should be suspended and should not be suspended.

Lets face it.. Vick wasn't playing anytime soon regardless of what Goodell ruled. This allows him to get back into shape.. learn an offense.. reassemble himself into the mindset of a NFL quarterback.. and so on.

            I think it's fair.

My thoughts exactly, he still has to get into shape, theres no way he is ready to play a game in the nfl. This will give him time to get back up to speed.

You're right. In essence, it's a 6 week suspension, but allows him to work with a team and be somewhat prepared to step in as soon as the 6 week game suspension ends.

More than fair imo. The dude was in prison not long ago.

Why? They already have an athletic QB that has the accuracy of Roger Clemens congressional testimony.

They even wear the same number.. go figure!

Vick has a lot going against him right now, so it will be interesting to see if a team gives him a chance. I don't expect a team to sign him anytime soon.
