I think when you are put on the PUP list you miss the first six weeks of the season. I could be wrong though.

      The Golden Turducken
Season 1: 11-5 (Super Bowl Champion)
Season 2: 12-4 (NFC West Champion)

      Season 3: 9-4

I agree. I believe being on the PUP grants the team an exemption to carry the player until week 6 at which point they have to activate him and cut another player from the active roster to make room or put him on IR for the remainder of the season.

Not a good way for the already suspect Packers defense that is also implementing a new scheme to start the season

          This is correct.

I have a feeling Chillar will do big things on D this season. I REALLY like him in pass coverage.

That's my interpretation of it as well.

Sucks, one of the more underrated LB's in the league.

Chillar is alright. He is decent in coverage but I would much rather have nick out there. He should be fine some of the videos he has posted on twitter make his knee look like old news. However, when I tore my acl it felt fine but I was never able to fully do a one legged squat. I really wanna know what it was that made him not pass his physical.

Being put on the PUP list doesn't mean a whole lot in July/August.. he could still come off the list in time for the opening game.

LOL...Chillar is awful and possibly the worst coverage linebacker I've ever seen, but thats somewhat attributable to the Packers coaching staff leaving his clueless sloth ass out there on passing downs. What makes you say he is 'decent' in coverage?

                        Compared to the other guys.

You bash on me saying he's decent in coverage when people above me are all over Chillar saying "he will do big things". Chillar is nothing but an average starter in this league. He is decent in coverage because he doesn't get completely burned. The Pack brought Chillar in mostly because of his coverage skills and their inability to cover a Tight End in 2007.

I don't understand where you are getting this opinion from because if you watched the Packers you would know all of our linebackers are hideous in coverage. Poppinga, Bishop, and Hawk are far worst.

Compared to the other guys in the NFL, or just the other guys on the Packers? If its just the other guys on the Packers, then I'd somewhat agree that Chillar is decent...because those guys suck in coverage.
