Michael Vick is not a runningback, nor is he a receiver, nor will he ever be successful at those positions.

The only chance Vick has at success is if he is playing at the quarterback position, and banking off of the fact when he does choose to tuck the ball and run, there is usually a good amount of open field to run on.

Nowhere in this article does it say Vick is close to signing in Seattle.

It's speculation. And unfounded speculation at that. Mora has said repeatedly this offseason we're not interested in Michael Vick.

The idea that Michael Vick could land in Seattle has been mentioned to me by multiple league sources over the past couple of days.

From what I’ve heard, new Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora had a great relationship with Vick while the two were in Atlanta – despite the negative reports circulating through the rumor mill right now – and that he actually “cares” about the former Falcon and his future. I’ve also been told that, from a public relations standpoint, Seattle would offer Vick some protection from the media since it isn’t a city that draws the kind of overwhelming national attention as a Dallas or a Pittsburgh.

Time to throw the Seahawks into the ring for Vick’s services? Today, Vick said he’s “getting close” to signing with a team, so we should soon know where this story leads.
      Wow.. concrete evidence right there.

I wouldn't be surprised if he went to Seattle. Jones and Duckett aren't the best RBs and Vick could provide them with a decent running game now and then.

passing the football no, he wasn't successful.

tucking the ball and running however, arguably best ever.

Thing about the quarterback position, when you drop back, the defense spreads out, and the quarterback has so much room to run, if they have the speed that vick had, they tear it up because they get so many free yards.

Doug Flutie was very good at the same thing, killing people because he wasn't afraid to tuck it and grab 6 or 7 free yards because the coverage was spread out.

people forget the fact that runningbacks don't have the open room to run like a quarterback does, and receivers don't just run around how they like, they have to be able to run a route tree, beat press coverage, etc.

Vick can't do anything other than play the quarterback position, that's where he's best at.

There is no development. It's not a rumor. It's some guy thinking he's cracked the Vick Davinci Code by making a generalizing statement.. and he's not even the first guy to do this.. as evidenced by the fact Mora has been asked about Vick since last season.. and has said everytime.. "No thanks.." or in relative speaking "He was the fucker that got me fired in the first place.."

Last time it worked Warrick Dunn and Vick both had 1000+ yard rushing seasons. But I wonder if this would be a big issue for T.J. Houshmanzadeh (?).
A lot of success? He did in the first season, but that was more in reflection of a good defense and the Falcons drawing both a weak division and the worst playoff team of the past 10 years or so in the divisional round.. the other Falcon teams were average.. in large part of Vick's inability to run Knapp's offense.

Vick will not be a Seahawk as long as Ruskell is GM.. Mora is HC.. and Knapp is OC.. if the three of them are gunned down in a gang shooting outside of Bellevue.. then I suppose it's a possibility.
