I had the 3rd pick in a 12 team draft. 4pts for QB tds and 6 pts for everyone else. It is a PPR league with each catch worth .5 points.
QB- Matt Schaub
QB- Jake Delhomme(Bench)
RB- Maurice Jones-Drew
RB- Pierre Thomas
RB- Darren McFadden(Bench)
RB- Donald Brown(Bench)
RB- Shonn Greene(Bench)
WR- Randy Moss
WR- Wes Welker
WR- Eddie Royal
WR- Josh Morgan(Bench)
WR- Kevin Curtis(Bench)
TE- Kellen Winslow
K- Nate Kaeding
DEF- Miami
Really glad I got Morgan, Brown and Greene. Those were three sleeper type players I was looking at. I couldn't pass up Welker because its a PPR league and he's a reception machine.Comment

I got Carson Palmer and Greg Olson as sleepers. You got a pretty good team looks like WR is your weakest position. How many teams in your league though? I'm guessing 8?
Kurt Warner is an injury risk but I think if Palmer is back to form it should be OK.
RBs are beasts. I like the Benson pick because he is late round value but gets a lot of carries.
WRs are mediocre. C. Johnson has no QB to throw him the ball. Ocho Cinco is past his prime. Berrian also has no QB. Breaston is 3rd WR behind Fitz and Boldin...
Update: Kurt Warner hasn't missed a game due to injury in years. It's old, okay? Get over it.
Carson Palmer is about as injury prone as my grandmother. The guy just got healthy, and already sprained his fucking ankle. He's a failure in every sense of the word. He'll be out by week 6.;Comment

Just got done with one of my leagues.
10 teams, 6 pts for all TDs, no ppr.
QB:
Philip Rivers
HB:
Steven Jackson
Darren McFadden
Jonathon Stewart
Cedric Benson
Jamal Lewis
Felix Jones
The Edge!!!
WRs:
Andre Johnson
Anquan Boldin
Lee Evans
Torry Holt
TE:
Zach Miller
K - John Kasay
D - Dallas
I'm not happy with my HBs at all. They all have big question marks surrounding them. I went with Steven Jackson at #5. If he can stay healthy I'm fine with it because he will produce, but if he goes down I'll obviously be kicking myself.
Donald Brown is still an UFA. I'm thinking about dropping Edge and picking him up but I really think Edge could be the goalline guy in Seattle.
Also, if Rivers goes down I'll just pick up Chad Pennington or Kyle Orton or some other bum.Last edited by Tailback U; 08-29-2009, 05:22 PM.Comment

1. Chargers (11th)
This was the 1st time in 5 years of our draft RBs went like crazy. I ahd the 11th pick out of 12 and took Johnson and Smith then planned on 2 RBs but they went so fast I felt there was none worthy of a 3rd or 4th so i went with the combo Romo and Witten. Also I won the Superbowl last year and I took 7 RBs so im really nervous about my RB situation. Im hoping Edwards or Henry really come on strong early so I can swing a trade.Comment

Quarterback - B+
I give you a B+ just because he is a safe pick but I don't see him carrying your team on your back and winning it by himself. He will have a top 10 year but I don't see him having a better year than Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or Tom Brady.
Running back - B
Alright, you went out on a limb and took Steven Jackson. I know, I did the same thing and lets face it, we both took a chance. Jackson is an absolute monster when healthy, easily a top 5 RB and has the potential to just go off and give you a Michael Turner or Adrian Peterson type of year. Key word is healthy with him. I think he will get his yards, touches, and touchdowns if he remains healthy... regardless of the pieces around him. He is just that type of player.
I like what you did with your back-ups at the RB position. Jonathon Stewart and McFadden have huge upsides and a ceiling that is higher than most running backs that are being picked around them. Great players to have on your bench just incase they decide to blow up or a key injury happens to one of the backs they split with.
Edgerrin James, Jamal Lewis, and Cedric Benson... all going to get the touches and its great that you got your hands on all of them. I can't see all three of them failing, I guarantee one of them is going to emerge as a fantasy threat.
Wide Receiver - A
Andre Johnson is a beast, I don't really need to go into detail about that. He is my #1 rated WR, so kudos to snagging him.
Somewhat shaky considering Boldin and his injury woes and his contract issues. But that seems to be put on the back burner and he SHOULD have a solid season.
Good depth between Holt and Evans, you can play it situational and see which match-ups are more favorable. I always love that when I got a 4th WR that I can bring in and not feel like I'm fucking up badly.
Tight End - C+
Zach Miller will be solid, not sure if he will have a break out season though. It really depends on the quarterback situation in Oakland and what plays are drawn up for him in the endzone. I'm not too confident in the Raiders coaching staff to get him the ball where it counts. Good option, just not an elite option.
Defense - B
Another pick that I got in my draft, I was thankful that they dropped to me. Dallas was a pretty aggressive team on defense and that is always good for the sack total. And it doesn't hurt to have DeMarcus Ware of course.Last edited by corbin; 08-29-2009, 05:44 PM.Comment

Corbin, do you think I should drop somebody to pick up Chad Pennington and/or Donald Brown?
What is the word on Donald Brown anyway? I know Addai is the starter still but the guy was picked in the 1st round, he has to get some PT eventually, right? I'm just still not comfortable with my HB situation.
Zach Miller was picked in the 10th round. My theory is that if I don't get one of the big 4 Tight Ends (Gates, Witten, Gonzo, Clark) then I really don't care to take any of the others as I see them all pretty much on the same level and too hard to rate.
I also need a QB Backup, Pennington is the best thing out there right now by a pretty wide margin. But I don't know if he is worth dropping Edge over.
I'm also pretty big on Felix Jones this year. He was flat out sick before he went down last season.
Here's to the health of Steven Jackson! :beer:Last edited by Tailback U; 08-29-2009, 05:48 PM.Comment

Jackson hasn't played over 12 games since 2006. The guy is an injury waiting to happen.
I'll probably get stuck with his ass, too.Comment

He hasn't had any serious injuries, either, which is really annoying. Every year it's a sore hamstring or toe that sidelines him for 4 games. Mfer needs to tough it out this year or I'll deal his ass.Comment

I should have my first team tomorrow, if I can get the damn time right, and more than three people to show up.Comment
