Brooks, Vilma, and Fujita. I can accept this linebacking core. The Saints are doing work this offseason. I'm loving it

That's what Brooks was waiting for. Someone to go down. With Simoneau expected to miss a good chunk of time it is highly likely that Brooks may not leave New Orleans without a contract. Plus, Brooks does not want to bide his time and just collect a paycheck. He wants to play for a team that has a chance to win. New Orleans fits that mold.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

They'd have a solid linebacking unit, not great but any good vet signing by the Saints would helpComment

Yeah.
Where exactly is this team going? 15-17 the last two years, and a QB who pads stats in blowouts but chokes in the clutch nearly every time.
Brees had a 96 QB rating last year, but it dropped to something like 76 in the 4th Q, "late and close". Good for 22nd or 23rd in the league.
They score a bunch of points, give up a bunch of points, and win about 7 or 8 games. I don't see why that would change.Comment

Everyone knows the Rams are terrible, and this thread is about the Saints.Comment
