Alright last time we felt this good, we went on a 4 game losing streak......can't afford any slip ups against the Redskins

One thing I don't like is hearing Giant fans(on WFAN and websites) praise Eli at Phil Simms' expense. It shows you how ignorant some so-called fans are. Phil played in a totally different system(smashmouth) where his best receiver was his TE Mark Bavaro. And the weather conditions during his time was worse than it is now.

To quote John Madden during the '86 season, "Phil Simms may not be a great QB, but he's great for the Giants."

Just like Patrick Ewing, NY didn't appreciate Simms until he was gone.

I loved Phil Simms......I love Eli

Not even fair to compare the two......you're right tho, different types of players, different eras, different system...those Giant teams did not try to out cute you.....they were like muthafucka we running the ball, I dare you to stop us.......and if you do happen to stop us, we'll just fuck you up on defense and get the ball back.....after Simms we went thru a boat load of QBs leading up to Eli

Simms taking on Ronnie Lott, one of my favorite memories....that and 4th and 17, complete to Bobby Johnson....even though I was like only 10 years old back then, my pops already had me all in with the Giants....out the womb baby
