It probably has something to do with AP, an offense similar to what he ran in GB and a great defense as well.

In all fairness, I think everyone would choose the path he is choosing if they could. What would you rather do?

A) Walk to two flights of stairs. Get into your car. Go buy beer. Drive back. Open Beer. Drink it.

or

B) Have someone bring you the beer. Open it for you. Drink it.

Ding...ding...ding Childress and Favre go way back because when he was at UW, they were allowed full access to the Packers facilities and sat in on most of their offensive meetings. They have a nearly identical playbook and with the talent on the team, Brett won't have to carry them on his back. COMPLETELY opposite of the scenario he had with the Jets last season.

Playing against Ted Thompson visa vi the Packers is just the icing on the cake for Favre.

he's the most overrated athlete this decade has to offer and he wins the title by a landslide..

IMO, it's two reasons:
A) Personal vanity
B) Revenge against the Packers

And he's going to fail on both counts.

He's too old ... and the Packers are not a legit playoff contender.

The Vikings are a very solid team, but Favre is too old and likely not gonna play 16 games.

The Packers are bringing in a new D and not that good a team anyway.

Favre's rating is derived from a different decade so its hard to say this decade had him to offer. Yes, he's overrated, but it's a product of his legendary status a decade ago. Hard to knock a guy for no longer being incredible.
