    Sanders: Crabtree Feels 'Lowballed'

If you thought you were worth $40 million, would you settle for $20 million?

    Highly unlikely.

That's one way to go about doing it but when someone feels a team is purposefully trying to keep from paying you what you think you deserve, you won't settle.

I think eventually they'll each come half way. Not sure when though.

If he doesn't sign soon he'll be lucky to get 20 million.

$40 Million is a shitload of money for a WR who hasn't been NFL tested.

San Jose Mercury News - Deion Sanders says that 49ers first-round draft pick Michael Crabtree feels as though the team is low-balling him.

"Why would you settle for $20 million when you feel like you can get $40 million," Sanders said. "That's the problem."

Sanders, in an appearance on the NFL Network, said two teams approached San Francisco about trading for the rights to the receiver. Sanders said the unnamed teams "will pay this kid, and he knows that."

However, a team spokesman told the San Jose Mercury News that "those discussions never happened."
I'm pretty sure that's called "tampering."

Giving em a call about trading for the rights to the receiver isn't tampering.

Hahaha... that's what I was saying.

Oh really? Teams without his rights are negotiating with him... that's illegal Neon.

Discussing money and contract with an unsigned rookie is definitely tampering.

If he had just said teams had expressed interest in him, then that would be fine but the part about "he knows they'll pay him" is definitely tampering.

Actually his agent has even said Crabtree's basically out of control.

This is all Crabtree and the people that are "advising" him.. namely his shady cousin and apparently Mr. All About the Money himself.. one Deion Sanders.

Ok then let Crabtree get it through his thick skull, ive heard him say he wants more money than DHB, i figured it was his agent gassing him up. I didnt know he was that dumb.

I was on Boldin's side when he wanted out of AZ, but I just cant side with Crabs here. There is a system in place, you are payed slightly more than the pick after you and slightly more than the guy drafted in your slot last year. What does he not understand about this?

Rookies are overpaid more in the NFL then MLB, NBA, and NHL combined.

But the point is its not tampering because either they're talking with the 49ers about the trade or... It never happend. Nowhere does it say the were talking about a contract with Crabtree. All it says is there are 2 other teams that Crabtree knows will pay him the money he wants.
