If Carson doesn't get hurt, who knows, Cincy might be 0-16 with Detroit.

Here is some stat lines for you to take a look at, you tell me which player you think gives you the best chance to win.

      Carson Palmer
      2005 - 32 TDs, 12 INTs, 3850 yards, 67% completed passes
      2006 - 28 TDs, 13 INTs, 4100 yards, 63% completed passes
      2007 - 26 TDs, 20 INTs, 4150 yards, 65% completed passes
      2008 - Injure riddled season

      Ryan Fitzpatrick
      2008 - 8 TDs, 9INTs, 1,900 yards, 59% completed passes

I've done my research and I've heard you always talk about records and such and how certain quarterbacks are "losers"... look at Fitzpatrick last year, he was 4-7-1.

      Palmer
      2004 - 8-8
      2005 - 11-5
      2006 - 8-8
      2007 - 7-9
2008 - 0-4(If you want to count last season)

34-34 all time record... he is not a terrible quarterback(record wise). Remember Bengals have been notorious for having a terrible defense which doesn't help any quarterback out. Fitzpatrick had a better defense than Palmer has ever had and he couldn't get anything done. The running game is usually at the bottom of the league and Palmer hasn't had a good offensive line since 2005.

I'm not saying that Carson Palmer is the best thing to ever hit the field... I'm really not. All I'm saying is Palmer is an upgrade over any QB they had last season. In my opinion, I think he is a talented QB that has the potential of carrying the Bengals, remember POTENTIAL... I'm not predicting him to do so.

I can live with trading Jay Cutler and the Brandon Marshall bs. But I'll be done with this team if Mr Lamont "I fall flat on my ass as soon as I get to the line of scrimmage" Jordan gets any carries over Peyton.

                Isn't Palmer 32-33?

You're not trying to sneak an actual .500 record in on me, are you?

The 1st overall pick isn't even .500, and that's not terrible? I disagree.

Peyton Manning lead Indy to a 13-3 season on just his 2nd year as starter.

Kurt Warner lead two of the shittiest organizations in the NFL to two superbowl appearances, one having the 32nd rank rush offense in the league last year.

Maybe there's a flaw in Palmer's leadership? Maybe players aren't responding to him? He's not black, so we can't blame skin color this time. One of the things I respect about Tony Romo, is the fact that he acknowledges the flaw in his leadership, and how that holds the team back. Which he's been working on, God Forbid. I mean, strong arm, and fast feet, is what the NFL is all about, right? Leadership is so overrated.

Palmer has had health issues recently...you guys are just all haters.

Hopefully Bengals come out strong in this game and beat down the Broncos

Palmers gonna throw two TDs and one of thems gonna be to Chris Henry.

If Orton starts though I'll do an avatar bet with anyone that he'll post a higher QB rating.

I didn't know the Broncos were such a good defense. Palmer completing less than 50% of his passes, Chad getting pretty much shutdown, and holding the running game to around 3YPC.

Sorry not buying it, you aren't going to stop both phases of the game with that putrid defense.

I'd rather watch a child choke to death than this garbage.

Nobody wins, the entire stadium commits suicide after the 3rd quarter.

Can I just ask why you bolded the part about the running game being at the bottom of the league, and then proceed to not even mention it in your rebuttal?

And another thing... Palmer went 11-5 as a starter and if he didn't get injured on his first pass of the playoff game, I would bet a large sum of money that Cincy would go on to win that game. You may say that it's two wins less... but Manning didn't win his playoff game so it's kind of a moot point.

And please leave Kurt Warner out of this... he has absolutely nothing to do with this arguement. And you're really leaving out ONE win in your arguement? Geez, it's not even like the guy who made the arguement was calling Palmer an incredible QB.
Finally back after a 3 year hiatus!

You live in that fantasy world where ''if'' means something, eh?

Maybe I'll visit there someday.. It's much better than reality.

Say ''hello'' to Drew Brees for me.

Bengals come away by at least 10 points, Broncos cant stop all the WR's and have no defense period. Rey Rey and Rivers hold Moreno down in the very limited carries he gets.

you could easily rewrite this post for the Broncos and it'd be just as true

Now that Orton is back though game got interesting. Bengals still will win but its gonna be a wild western shootout.
