Redzone offense has been atrocious like you said.

What is up with the personal fouls? I've seen like 10 on the gamecast. Are they all valid?

He didn't even score any points. 100+ yards against Lions defense, big whoop.

Can't say I expected anything different. Stafford played like a rookie. He was forced to throw a lot more than I'm sure they wanted. We couldn't run the ball at all which was the one thing I hoped we could do. Stafford forced some passes but you at least we didn't give up. I still don't understand having only the Johnsons out there and a tight end in the slot on a bunch of passing formations. I also didn't see Pettigrew get any looks at all.

The defense was shitty, like we knew they'd be. I can't really be mad at letting up all those points, but the defensive line was soft. We'll never be a good team until that defensive line can get some push. The only bright spot was Louis Delmas. He made the tackle every time he had the opportunity, I think Mike Bell beat him once in the 4th though, his fumble return was nice as well but he was playing good before that. The line backers can be the best of all time, but it won't matter if that defensive line is as bad as they are.

Krul, don't compare Stafford to Harrington. It was one game, he had to play from behind the whole time and threw way more times than he should have. Its his first game and they tried to have him play hero and lead the team back.

                      K-Mike!!

You and me need to run!!

& for the record, it coulda' been a LOT worse had Reggie not let go of the friggin' rock 3 times!!!!.. that was my biggest irriation of the game.. but outside of that it was buisness as usual for them fellas in the Black-n-Gold.. the offense just picking up where they left off from last year, and now Mike Bell as the premier back, well at least til' Pierre Thomas comes back, and what'd he run today 25 for a buck 40 ??.............GG!

ps- K-Mike, hit me up on the S3, your not on my f/l and need to be, we haven't run in aaaaaaages, let's get it rollin' again.. check ya soon.. you know my tag, no need to ask.. *smile*

I'm not actually doing that, just so damn frustrated with this team. I don't know why it even pisses me off anymore, I should be used to this shit. Can't really expect Stafford to succeed when you're playing from behind 2 minutes into the game already. He certainly won't be another Harrington and I was just in the heat of the moment there.

We won't win any games until our defense gets their shit together, which could be together. All starts with that defensive line too.

                          Pros:Special teams and Delmas
                          Cons:Everything else

the last thing I expected Stafford to be was inaccurate... OL got no push in the running game... Eric King and Marquand Manual looked terrible... DL generated ZERO pass rush... Cunningham refused to blitz...

Stafford is going to look bad in his first few games because they'll be playing from behind... He'll have to learn to kick the habit of forcing it to CJ... Needs some help from the running game to force the safety to drop in to the box...

Yeah, really not sure what you were expecting. I don't understand how anyone has a good amount of emotion invested in this team at the moment. Of course I'll be happy if we win, but I'm not going to get angry with this team.

Well I wasn't expecting a win, but on the flip-side I wasn't expecting our defense to be THAT damn bad (I knew they weren't good...but c'mon) even if we're playing the Brees led Saints. You're right though, I shouldn't be getting worked up bout them losing...afterall they haven't won a regular season game since December 23rd, 2007.

Stafford will never succeed with the Lions, and by the time he gets out of Detroit, he'll be too mentally damaged to catch on anywhere else. I've been saying this since we drafted him and passed up on o-line help. Our receivers outside of Calvin aren't good enough to go get balls that might be mistake throws, our defense isn't going to hold any offense down enough to where we can get a running game going to take pressure off, and the running game, even when we do run it, is behind such a terrible offensive line that the defenses don't even worry about it.
Well if that's the case...least Houston is an above-average team these days (least better than the Lions)...so we'll have that to look forward to in a few years...HAH.
