I believe Martz used the words, "playing right now". Its really not to much of a stretch to say Brees after his performance is the best "right now". We all know Brees is playing at an elite level and is in a system that utilizes his skillset very well, and when you couple that with a pass happy offense you get the numbers he's putting up.

You're right.. I mean it's not like he threw for 5000 yards last season and 34 TD. Or it's not like he's thrown for over 4400 yards in each of his first 3 seasons as a Saint.

Also, no offense meant to Martz, but I have yet to hear him say he dislikes any quarterback. He's the same guy that would argue with us, that JTO is starter material. It's his style. I'm not saying JTO is Drew Brees, far from it.. Just using JTO as an example of Martz falling in love with just about every quarterback. Ask Martz what he thinks about Jay Cutler once or Carson Palmer, it'll be nothing but praise. Hell, even Jon Kitna.

Then five minutes later the rest of the ''team,'' will move onto how Jason Campbell is the hotseat for not being able to take that next step into the postseason. Clueless.

I tend to avoid watching anything football related during the week.

It's his opinion.. If he posted here at the forums, I'd disagree with him. Maybe you guys should actually go get a fucking job, or something other than watch NFL Network. Do you want me to go spray paint his front lawn with Drew Brees' career winning %, and his NFL caliber playoff record?
