why cant marvin harrison get a job?

i see the colts signed some lame ass WR to add depth. why not resign harrison? to much money? Maybe, but is it more because the NFL thinks he is a closet gangsta?

so we all know about the shooting at his club where his gun was used to shoot some guy. the DA dropped the charges due to conflicting reports. So the guy files a civil suit, but ends up getting shot to death a few blocks away from harrisions club.

So my question: is harrison, this quite, no flash superstar WR a closet gangsta, or is he just over the hill and asking for to much cash to get signed by someone???

I live on 29th and Girard, which is about a half of a block away from where Dixon was shot 7 times (I was off of work that day and actually heard the gunshots and saw the people streaming out of their houses with their "what the fuck is going on?" looks). My street is rough looking, but on the whole, not so bad. However, go even 1 block north and you are thrown right into the heart of the ghetto. Playmaker's is on 25th and Thompson which is pretty much exactly what I'm talking about. I would not recommend journeying to that area if you're white or if you have a problem with being mugged/robbed.

I can't imagine that the nightclub issue helps, especially after Dixon claimed that Harrison was behind the "hit" before he died. It's an insane story. I've been living here for 2 years and never really paid attention to it until I heard about Dixon getting shot close to me.

I love Marvin but I'm really not upset about this. He was not very good at all last season. I'd rather bring in somebody new.

I remember hearing that the Colts wanted to restructure his contract and have him have a lesser role because he was getting old and they wanted Gonzales to start becoming one of the main options... he didn't want to do that stuff and wanted to be cut... so they did.

I assume right now it's a mix of the bad publicity with the club shit, as well as wanting too much money AND wanting to be a big part of any offense he's in, which he's just not fit to do right now.
