USC at Washington thread

SC fans.. as an unofficial USC backer (actually have been for the last 8 years so I guess it's semi-official now) this game has me very concerned. No Barkley today, going up against a sneaky good Washington team in a very difficult place to play. And as USC has shown the past several years, following a major win they have a tendency to overlook a much lesser Pac 10 squad (Oregon St, Stanford)..

Sarkasian knows Pete Carroll better than anyone.. I really think the Huskies can give USC all they can handle today.

Everyone is picking this as the upset game of the week. Just made a $20 bet with a dude at the gym, he picked Washington and I gave him 10 points.

I think USC will fine. To be honest, I think Corp is actually better than Barkley. He may struggle early on but USC will lean on the running game to get things going.

Jake Locker is the one thing I'm worried about. He is better than Terrell Pryor and can hurt USC with his arm and his feet. He's also not as dumb as Pryor.

USC typically loses to teams that they have no business losing to. Everyone has been saying that this is a trap game and they know it so I think they'll be ready.

I was wrong, Corp looks pretty bad.

Washington looks solid on both sides of the ball, but better on defense.

Once again, its not the tough non-conference schedule that does in USC, its "sure thing" conference opponents. Disappointed, but not shocked to be honest. Great work by Washington. Can't blame the loss entirely Corp, but he did not look good from what I saw. I pray Barkley is back soon.

Corp sucks ass. Barkley will be back for Wazzu but Cal is likely the favorite in the conference now.

I was so pissed off after this game. Washington played great defense. I feel Corp and Carroll lost this game though. Corp threw into double a triple coverage all day. He looked like a moron out there. And why didnt Pete take his ass out?! barkley or mustain should have been put in in the 2nd half. I dont think either could have done any worse.

This loss comes early enough for SC though. Get it out the way and run the table. In December, they'll be back up in the mix.

I didn't see the game, but from the highlights, it looked like Corp was just staring down his receivers. With the time that he appeared to have in the pocket, he needs to scan the field.

I can't understand why the coaching staff would put the game in either of their QB's hands though. USC has enough depth and talent to just pound a team like Washington until they break late in the game.

They showed Barkley warming up and he still had a hitch in his delivery from his shoulder injury, better to let him sit than risk serious damage to it, IDK about Mustain though.

I tihnk USC is really starting to show how much losing your assisants can hurt you... Chow, Sarkisian, Kiffin, Holt and others have gone so they've been replacing guys year after year at the coordinator spots.

USC's best deep threat is out for at least 6-8 more weeks, when they get Ronald Johnson back they'll be an entirely different offense.

USC did rush for 250 yards in the game and Corp only threw 22 times; if anything they were too conservative. I don't think USC really took a single shot down the field the whole game.

With only 21 carries between McKnight and Johnson though. IDK. As I said, I haven't seen the game yet, so maybe there was something that Washington was doing that I can't see from the box score or the highlight reel.
