Here at VSN it's never the quarterbacks fault. If half these people ran the show, Ryan Leaf would still be in the league, because it's either....
A. The coaches fault.
B. The defenses fault.
C. The running backs fault.
D. The cheerleader who didn't do the correct dance steps fault.
It all revolves around the quarterback. Yes, having a great team around him, helps, but a great quarterback can lead his team to victories, with a less than stellar defense. Manning has done it, Warner has done it, many guys have done it. What Tony Romo did last night, would deflate any defense good or bad. You can blame Wade Phillips, because as usual, the coach will take the blame, but that shit last night, is on Tony Romo. He questioned his leadership, and made that one of his main priorites during the offseason, which is a respectable thing to do... but last night was ridiculous. He made throws that I used to make back in highschool.
The best teams in the league will go as far as their quarterbacks take them.. Even Minnesota, will find it hard to overcome another Favre breakdown late in the season. If Tony Romo doesn't step up, he should not only get the blame, but he should take it, as well.Comment

You finally learned the NFL rules of player responsibility. We should have a shayne appreciation thread for helping straighten us out.Comment

At least if Zona fails this year, I can blame it on Dennis Green.
Thanks, VSN.Comment

I meant 1st bad game against the giants. I'll blame coaching if i want. Every decent defense knows exactly what we are doing every fucking play. How many Draws did you see last game? As a OC your supposed to put your players in a position to succeed and JG never does.
Great Game Giants you have better Coaching and it showed.Comment

Last night JG called a pretty good game, aside from the 2nd drive where we came out and passed 3 straight times. Did you see the game last night? The draws and cutbacks worked to perfection.
How do you not put blame on Romo? He made bad throw after bad throw. Yes the pass to Witten was some BS but what about the throw to Crayton or the deep ball to Hurd where he admitted not even seeing the safety? All the blame doesn't go on Romo but a lot does and should.
Also tailback, Newman didn't continuously get torched by Manningham, Scandrick was the one getting burnt and couldn't wrap up for shit. Newman got beat deep once I think and it was on that Manningham touchdown where the ball was bobbled and magically fell into his chest but you can correct me if I am wrong (and I could very well be)Comment

You can win with shitty coaching, if you have a quarterback who can run the shit the right way.Comment

How does the coaching staff not realize this already ?
This isnt a mid season tweak...they've seen this 2 off seasons now and refuse to adjust. 250 yards on the ground yet the pressure is still put on Romo to win the game.

Romo cant be the focal point of this offense. Removing TO and the blossoming of the RBs last year should have solidified a change.Best reason to have a license.

No he did not. 2 interceptions where the NYG were EXACTLY where the ball was thrown. That audible and that safety playing that spot werent massive coincidences. One teams coaching staff prepared there team the other didnt.
