I'm becoming sold on Jimmy Clausen. He plays in an NFL style offense under that idiot Charlie Weis, so it is giving him the expierence to run a pro offense. Along with that, he makes some throws that show he is ready for the next level. During the Purdue game on that final drive, despite being hurt, he had excellent arm strength and was making smart reads. I could really see Eric Mangini saying he didn't draft Quinn or Anderson and wants his guy and then brings in Jimmy Clausen because Eric and Charlie used to work together.Comment

12. My JPW of this year is Jonathan Crompton out of Tennekey. LOL I know he threw 2 picks against a terrible team yesterday, but I like the kids mechanics, live arm, and willingness to try and make the tough throw. He might turn out to be a bum, but everytime I watch Hardesty (who I like a lot) I always think to myself - hm, this kid at QB doesn't look bad - then he'll throw a pick . Idk though, I just kind of like him.
Good post, MattUM2. Agree with a lot of it.

Now, they definitely have different physical skill sets and strengths/weaknesses with regards to their passing. Quinn had problems with his accuracy on his deep ball while Clausen has great ball placement and hits his receivers in stride more often than not. On the other hand, Quinn could fit the ball in perfectly to his receivers over the middle between the linebackers/safeties which is something that Clausen has yet to show he can do consistently.Comment

As a UW fan I hope Locker returns, but the lure of big bucks might be too hard to resist.Comment

Carlos Dunlap is overrated. He's IMO a mid to late 1st round pick. He's very talented, but he can have an inconsistent motor (See Tennessee game, he looked like he didn't even want to be there).
Major Wright is a 2nd-3rd round pick. Doesn't have enough range to play FS.
Jerry Hughes=Beast. I really hope the Bears draft him, he's undersized for a DE, but he's incredibly talented and he's a good fit in the Bears Cover 2 defense.
Another underrated DE, Lindsay Witten. He already has 8 sacks, and he'd have more if not for a stomach bug. He's a late 1st to mid round 2nd round pick.Last edited by USCChifan; 10-10-2009, 04:35 PM.Comment

This might be one of the best draft classes we've seen in years, it's going to be fun to see it play out.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment
